Anyone know what Brian Horton is up to these days?
Promoting his book. He was at the Lymm Supporters branch on Sunday, and was very good.

If he walked out tomorrow.....Who would we look to?

Arteta
Kompany
De Zerbi
Howe

Anything better out there?

There’s no obvious choice. Mine would be Luis Enrique but I wouldn’t be surprised if we ended up with another Pellegrini type who comes in for 1/2/3 years while we wait for a long term candidate to become available.

Immediately available candidates -

Pochettino
Gallardo
Tuchel
Bielsa

Probably Immediately available but with clubs -

Luis Enrique
Gasperini
Rodgers - Tolmie has said a few times the club really like him for some reason.

Potential future candidates if they become available / stock keeps rising

Ancelotti
De Zerbi
Glasner
Potter - I don’t think Txiki would care if he bombed at Chelsea.
Nagelsmann
Howe
Emery - I think his reputation is going to sky rocket with this Villa side, I think they could be worrying 7th/8th.

Potential future “HG” candidates to keep an eye on -

Arteta
Kompany
Vieira
Demichelis

Bit tight of neither the Barcelona lads nor the Bayern lads to not bring them in in 2010 and 2014 if Pep was that eager to see one.

Edit: Come to think of it, has any club manager ever managed more world cup winning players at the time of winning? I count 14 for Pep (Piqué, Puyol, Iniesta, Xavi, Busquets, Villa, Pedro, Lahm, Kroos, Schweinsteiger, Müller, Boateng, Neuer, Götze). Decent argument to be made that his training did much of the heavy lifting for the national side's success.

If Pep doesn't extend, I think if he was to pick the manager to take over from him like he has done at other clubs I think. he probably would pick Gallardo the ex River plate manager he's complimented him many times.

What about wee davie moyes :-)

For continued stability give him a 10 year deal :-)

I'd love 5 more years of Pep but maybe that's greedy and unrealistic. Arteta looks decent and knows the club but he might want to stay at Arsenal for all we know. Kompany with Gundo as assistant manager could work in 3 years time depending on how their next 3 years pan out. Between them I think there'd be a decent amount of knowledge.

I think Gundo has plenty to offer when the boots are hung up,but Vinnie would be daft not to maintain his current assistant and winning formula.

This is the problem, nothing out there, arteta has his arsenal project now which he won't leave, same for Howe,
Let's look at some more
Nagelsman ( would be leave Munich?)
Luis Enrique ( couldnt see him returning to club football for personal reasons)
Pochettino? ( maybe, but is he that good?
Xavi ( still not convinced but a barca boy and wouldn't leave unless sacked and would we hire a sacked manager?)

Other big names but we won't have any interest in for different reasons

Simeone ( a d*** head terrible football, and language barrier

Zidane ( wants international Job allegedly, languague barrier also

For sure its gonna be a tough task to replace our pep
