Is my memory playing up (not out of the question, actually), or did I see "GOAT"™ being linked on twitter (I know) with Newcastle? They'd have to be mad to even consider it.
That will not happen. He's not the type of player that we look for and Castore are a terrible kit supplier who can't meet our current requirements so he wouldn't even make financial sense with merchandise sales.

MUST be joking.

Another group of fans just like their red shirt friends in Liverpool who want a say in the ownership and running of both clubs.

Never have these 2 $worn enemies and bitter ‘Red Shirt’ rivals off the pitch been so close, so friendly and with the same (own) goals as they have now.

——

Finally any new ownership structure must embed supporters, including a degree of fan share ownership, in their operating model.

Manchester United's fans are its greatest asset and hold the key to unlocking the true value of any football club. That relationship has to be one of equals - sharing in ownership and and unified with the same goals.

So now you can do two things for your legacy - the first is to prioritise the best interests of Manchester United Football Club over the financial interests of the selling shareholders. Our club, at this moment in time more than ever, needs the right ownership and that should be the priority rather than simply the highest bidders and highest return for you.

They have the perfect template in FC United of how to run a fan club.

So I am going to spend 5 billion buying a football club, and the supporters want a say in how I run it, and a share of it.

The fans want an equal share. Where are MUST going to get 2.5 billion from ?

You have to take account of the fact that these " supporters " have the same intelligence and levels of delusion comparable to the moonies.

All they want is for everything to go back to the days when the rags won everything, due to being able to buy the best players. That in turn will enable them to boast and appear superior to everybody else, boosting their own pathetic feeling of self-worth ( despite contributing fuck all to the end game.

Like fucking spoiled children thay believe it to be their divine right to shine in somebody else's reflected light, and stamp their feet when they can't get it.

Gary Chuckles and all the ex-rags who still cling on to the past are even worse because they are supposed to be the ones who set an example.

The rags are the perfect example of great brand marketing and sponsorship deals, which is why exactly why the Glazers bought them as their cash cow, but used to be known for being sucessful in winning things in football, a long time ago .

Pathetic cunts who deserve fuck all .

Let the fans have the club and watch it go even more to shit! Fans asking for this are as thick as pig shit! As if the glazers going to give the fans a % of the club!

So, who will the Rags be happy to buy them?
Some pretty tight criteria for them.

1. Must have in the region of £5 billion to hand over to the Glazers.
2. Must have fuck knows how much to pay off their debt.
3. Must have a shitload more to spend on the stadium and training facilities.
4. Must buy the club outright without leveraging the debt.
5. Must not take any dividends out of the club.
6. Must be seen to invest their own money into the club.
7. Must not rename the stadium.
8. Must not be Arab.
9. Must not be Russian.
10. Must not be Chinese.
11. Must not be American again.
12. Must not be from a country with any sort of Human Rights issues.
13. Must be happy to accept that any time they lose a game they will think they bought Norwich.
14. Must be happy to have abuse directed at them every time they fail to win the league / Trophy.
15. Must be happy to pay a raging alcoholic £2million a year to sit in the stands.
16. Must be prepared to live in the past instead of looking to the future.

I'm sure there is a queue a mile long of suitable owners they will be happy with.

I've got a feeling there will be some moral gymnastics taking place,
17. Must also meet the approval and expectations of their great socialist hotelier and human rights envoy/hypocrite, Gary Neville (affectionately known as Rat Boy).

Just a quick update, my proposal to put together a consortium to buy the rags is gathering pace.
So far I have had firm offers of a score, which let's face it, is more than the rags get most weekends, 3p and a curly wurly. I'm just going to recheck the posts in case I e missed anyone off but all I will say is, my offer to join me in buying the rags will close Thursday night as I want to put the bid in when the New York Stock Exchange opens Friday.

Assuming Blue Mist's consortium doesn't raise sufficient funds, I've had an interesting thought about why the Glazers are doing this now. Various estimates and rumours reckon the rags could net the glazers 6-10 billion yet just 4 billion would buy the dippers. How about the glazers buying the dippers, pocketing a cool net 2-6 billion in the process and opening up an entirely new market to tap into, and of course a new club to completely screw up in the process.

I'd laugh my tits off if that happened

So the very same people who have spent 17 years protesting about the glazers and singing songs about them being killed now want the glazers to do them a favour and miss out on monet by selling them to a lower bidding buyer.

They also want a stake in the club - I presume they have the hundreds of millions required for a 10% stake or do they want that handed to them?

''And if you don't agree with our demands, we will withdraw our support from the club and form our own fan owned run club.''

And we all know that all of those demands will go out of the window if they think they’re going to win anything. Just like the protests against the Glazers stop every summer when they spend shitloads of money and then start again a month or two later when they realise they’ve bought dross. Someone needs to recreate that Liverpool boom and bust cycle graph with one showing the likelihood of a rags protest.

Whatever happened to that 'bring Ronnie home' group and funds ? Wasn't it a £10 and you got a free shirt ?
