MUST be joking.

Another group of fans just like their red shirt friends in Liverpool who want a say in the ownership and running of both clubs.

Never have these 2 $worn enemies and bitter ‘Red Shirt’ rivals off the pitch been so close, so friendly and with the same (own) goals as they have now.

——

Finally any new ownership structure must embed supporters, including a degree of fan share ownership, in their operating model.

Manchester United's fans are its greatest asset and hold the key to unlocking the true value of any football club. That relationship has to be one of equals - sharing in ownership and and unified with the same goals.

So now you can do two things for your legacy - the first is to prioritise the best interests of Manchester United Football Club over the financial interests of the selling shareholders. Our club, at this moment in time more than ever, needs the right ownership and that should be the priority rather than simply the highest bidders and highest return for you.

Surely they realise that fan ownership limits investment? They need a sugar daddy that will pour billions into the club taking nothing out. Ratcliffe might just fit the bill.

There’s only one Sheik Mansour & how they would have loved to have him but them back in 2008

So, who will the Rags be happy to buy them?
Some pretty tight criteria for them.

1. Must have in the region of £5 billion to hand over to the Glazers.
2. Must have fuck knows how much to pay off their debt.
3. Must have a shitload more to spend on the stadium and training facilities.
4. Must buy the club outright without leveraging the debt.
5. Must not take any dividends out of the club.
6. Must be seen to invest their own money into the club.
7. Must not rename the stadium.
8. Must not be Arab.
9. Must not be Russian.
10. Must not be Chinese.
11. Must not be American again.
12. Must not be from a country with any sort of Human Rights issues.
13. Must be happy to accept that any time they lose a game they will think they bought Norwich.
14. Must be happy to have abuse directed at them every time they fail to win the league / Trophy.
15. Must be happy to pay a raging alcoholic £2million a year to sit in the stands.
16. Must be prepared to live in the past instead of looking to the future.

I'm sure there is a queue a mile long of suitable owners they will be happy with.

I've got a feeling there will be some moral gymnastics taking place,
This is a more developed and cogent version of a thought I had some time ago.
It's a big ask, isn't it? Like looking for a new wife, with the attitude that she has to be Scarlett Johannson, but must also be very grateful to have you and be totally submissive to your every wish.

Ratcliffe is able to do all of that. He’s loaded; from Manchester; is a rag; loves the glory.

I believe he’ll also be able to invest another billion on the rag’s infrastructure as its outside FFP ( not that FFP applies to rags of course)

Think he’ll be the only bidder at the price the glazers want & will get it all - sadly.
He didn't get where he is today by chucking his money away. He is one of the most hard nosed business men around. It will not be Christmas every transfer window if he buys the rags. He is one thing that the Glazers are not, ruthless.

It would be amazing if Ratcliffe, or anyone else, was prepared to invest the billions required without some prospect of return.

Our Sheikh has not taken revenue dividends but has made a huge wedge through the increase in capital value. If the shares you own quadruple in value but pay no dividend, you are not generally arsed.

The Sheikh bought us for a relative pittance. It's hard to see how United will go up in value all that much. There are only so many fans on earth and they already claim a huge number.

I really really hope so. Love him to come in & say money for transfers is limited until structural plans in place

Fuck the rags. They had their day in the sun years and years ago and they are now just another mid-table Premier club. In order to compete they would of course need to spend billions and billions but even then they would only be treading water.

Never ever forget the pain, the embarrassment, and the humiliation we suffered during our 'wilderness years.' When those uber čunts and that despotic pisshead of theirs were insulting this club and us supporters at every given chance.

What goes around comes around, you fucking abomination of a football club.

They outbid everyone now. They outbid us, who supposedly can buy any player in the world, on numerous occasions

Its been the way theyve spent it thats been the problem.
Theyll get it right again eventually

Whats the saying about monkeys, typewriters and Shakespeare?
If you put an infinite number of Shakespeares in a room at Old Trafford with an infinite number of monkeys, they will eventually write a cohesive transfer policy for United.

Perhaps the answer is to merge the Rags and Liverpool. They could play at a new Stadium at Haddock Park, and be 51% fan owned. Everyone would be happy. They could be named FC United of Liverpool.
First the dipper cheek, now the rag chee

So both cheeks of the same baboons red arse are now for sale, you don’t need to twixt the lines to know why or who is primarily responsible.....iccle Citeh !!

We have broken them both and they are running like chicken shit with the white flag up and their kex pulled down. Billions to buy,Billions to spend over years and years !!

They may make some progress but so will we.....and we have Pep.

Manchester thanks you Sheikh Mansour.

5 billion? They want 8, maybe 9.
What we don't know is how much debt is hidden away in accounts filed in Delaware & the Cayman Isles. I suspect it's a lot more than the debt in publicly available accounts. Wouldn't surprise me at all if they were using united shares as collateral for other debts.

From 25 July 2021, CFG’s ultimate parent undertaking is Newton Investment and Development LLC.

Edit. @KS55 has already pointed this out. Not like the BBC to publish stuff without checking their facts first though, is it?
The BBC have been pushing their stance on news integrity for a while now, but it certainly doesn't appear to be the same in the way they report on sport.

Now they've lost their biggest commercial asset for zilch, I doubt there will be many turn up to the Old Toilet Firesale.
I find it quite funny how this has all panned out, they had a returning hero who they all got giddy about and went out buying shirts with his name on the back, the Glazers mopped up with his signing. Now it all has turned to shit and the same fans will go and buy a new shirt just so they dont have his name on the back.

Couldnt make it up.

Strange that no Rags are prepared to accept this even though they are linked to the Cayman isles but are 100% convinced we are paying everyone double the quoted wages through some back door with no evidence, other than some flimsy bollox with Mancini.
