That it’s game was the worse thing for the team it enforced Southgate’s belief that that’s the team to start all the games! I’d drop Sterling for foden and if still play mount he does do the dirty part of the game!
 
Hopefully one day Phil will be good enough to be a starter for England once his career has improved. Does southgate even know who phil is ? Not a bad career so far ! But he cant middle. On that statement southgate should resign

Southgate's response to the very first question he was asked on itv was he knew it would be a completely different game than the Iran one, so he picked the exact same 11 in the exact same formation, he's an absolute useless waffling, hypocritical, monotone, missionary sex loving, bird watching, train spotting fucker and we'll win absolutely fuck all with him there shit scared to play players that express themselves.

Southgate's remit is simple.
Get to tournaments and try to get as far as possible and that means taking few risks, strangling games in the knockout phase and hoping for an inspired performance, an easy side of a draw and/or a lucky break. He knows it, and if England get to at least the semifinals he can perfectly well justify his means. Thus far he's done pretty well and let's face it many Italian teams did exactly the same with even greater success. Tournaments are about winning - end of, but boy does he go to some extreme lengths including boring us senseless to achieve it.
I feel that in this particular World Cup his luck is about to run out ...
...unless of course Foden ,Phillips and Walker and even Wilson miraculously appear in the starting 11. Don't hold yer breath folks..

That is exactly my take on Southgate, he just want to get out of the group stage. He doesnt care how its done. A draw was good enough for him, due to results in the other group match. Now he has done that. Cant see wales winning with 4 goals over England. In one way its smart and sometimes wise. But its much better to win the first 2 games and play the reserves in third game so everyone in the troop gets involved in world cup instead of warming bench.

Not only that but he also said "We are playing in conditions that are taking a lot out of players and to maintain the tempo is not easy." - so he thinks it’s taking a lot out of the players and then plays exactly the same starting line-up!
 
I don't really follow England National team. Never had since I was a kid. Back then if you played for the rags you played for England. I hated it. Did Alan Oakes every get a cap, I dont think so.
My dad always said to be 'play for the rags play for England yet even if a City player is brilliant he wont play for England.

Over 50 years ago my dad would say that and 50 years on it's still the fucking same. Rashford shouldn't be even in the squad a few games for the rags. Yet now Rashford is above Foden. If Rashford played for any other club he wouldnt get picked. I forgot he had come on yesterday lol.

I am now saying the same to my kids as my dad said to me.

For me I feel really pissed of dont know why as I dont care about the National team. Perhaps its because 50 years on it's still the same. Rag players getting pick over much better superior City players.

Maybe Southgate still has an issue with Foden ?. Remember when he was breaking through, he said he couldnt play hiim cos he wasnt starting enough games for City (doesnt apply to everyone). Also, the episode in Iceland. Let bygones be bygones Mr Waistcoat.

If and it's a big if southgate still holds that Iceland innocent against Foden than why pick him ?

I personally think Phil is to good for southgate and he hasnt a clue how to play Phil
