24 Hours In Police Custody

Just watched it, thought the same.

Can't take the law into your own hands, the sparky wasn't very bright in fessing up to the police.

No comment interview and get a solicitor at interview stage not afterwards.

Fortunately it seems that suing the insurance company will be a dead-end for the two pikeys as insurance doesn't cover reckless intentional acts and they didn't have insurance on their vehicle.

I shouldn't have watched that before I went to bed my blood is fucking boiling! He justice system is a fucking shambles.

The poor man was protecting his home and more importantly his family from two scumbags carrying weapons breaking into his own home! In my eyes they got away lightly with broken ribs/legs ect...If they broke into my house whilst my wife and kids were inside I would slit their throats. Two fucking bastards.

22 months in prison, A house they've worked hard for GONE, A family they were building GONE, When he gets out he probably won't get a job again because he has a criminal record...The two scumbags that broke in get away scott free.. just fuck off.

I watched it In disbelief but I was not surprised at the outcome. Everything is geared towards the poor old criminal these days. They know every trick in the book and the poor old decent citizen who unfortunately and inadvertently crosses paths with such scum, end up seriously injured, dead or like in this case worse than the perpetrators of the original crime. I hope the jury sleep soundly at night. Forget the letter of the law no way would I find anybody guilty in such circumstances. The judge should have suspended the sentence too. It's okay the police saying people can't take the law into their own hands but they're never there and rarely stop these scrotes. In the unlikely event they do get caught they get a slap on the wrist, as happened in this case.

Having said all that the poor guy convicted was extremely stupid. He'd frightened off the burglars and should have left it at that. To go outside and pursue them put his own life in jeopardy and as big a scumbags as they are he nearly had the death of two people on his conscience. He would also then have spent a lot longer in prison. It's easy to be calm, collected and logical after the event. We all know in the heat of the moment it only takes a split second to make what in hindsight was the wrong decision. Unfortunately when standing in the dock the prosecution only deals in cold hard facts and fear, anger and emotion aren't factored into the equation. That's when you hope the commonsense of the jury comes into play. Technically by the sheer letter of the law is he guilty? Yes. Did the two scumbags deserve it? Again yes. While still injured they were out committing other crimes. I couldn't give a fuck about the letter of the law. In this case he'd have got a not guilty from me. As the saying goes, the law is an ass.

Let ‘em get inside, unload the Glock, say nothing, get an attorney who simply says “Armed intruders, feared for his life and the lives of his family” on repeat

Bish, bash, bosh. No more burglaries, no car chase, no lawsuit.

I hear all the anger, but when I said the above in the past I was accused of being Judge, Jury and Executioner (and that was the nicest thing!).

I would NEVER seek a Jury trial! I’d take a panel of judges everytime.

Leaving the house was the big mistake!

Move the family to a safe location, call 999 (911 in States) and take up a defensive position. They come closer…it ends. You’ve done your part.

My home is my castle and I will protect my family at all costs.

Did you have a wank after you finished typing that?

Spoken like a victim.

There is no joy in saying it, but if ANYONE is going to be victimized by THEIR intransigence, surely it should be them, not my innocent family, no?

When society finally stops treating those that are ready willing and able to take advantage of everyone else with kid gloves, and punishes them accordingly, then we can ALL start to live safer, more carefree, lives free from the ravages of punks and miscreants looking for a cheap score on easy marks.

What channel was it on?
Channel 4.

A pair of scrotes with convictions a mile long decided to rob a house while the occupants were inside. They scarpered on a stolen motorbike, one without a helmet on, and the man of the house chased them down in his car and knocked them off, causing them to slam into a parked car, resulting in life changing injuries for them.

One of them hobbled into the police station a few weeks later and claimed he had no recollection of the incident, but he could recall he'd lost a gold chain and a bag containing £100.

Four weeks after their accident, the pair of them were stopped by the police in a car with false number plates. At the police station after their arrest, they told the desk sergeant they had discharged themselves from hospital, and one of them, the one without a crash helmet that suffered a fractured skull, admitted he still had bleeding on his brain, and beacuse of that, shouldn't have been arrested.

The bloke who mowed them down received a 22 month prison term, but the lifelong criminals were spared from prison becuse their injuries would have made their lives too difficult inside.

Thanks for the summary.
Clearly the criminal justice system is failing on the middle word.
Career criminals need removing from the system.
Doesn't need to be jails. Just build huge buildings and put tags on them. They have to report every night to the building 6pm to 6am with one meal at 11pm. Give them an uncomfortable chair to try and sleep on. Let them go home and return at 6pm.
No dole or benefits. They have to get a job and report at night. Inconvenience the fuckers and their families and their social lives.
If they fail to turn up once or take the tag off then lock the scrotes up.
The first party to put that in their manifesto will get elected.
