Don’t agree with that at all.

Just because he isn’t 25 and running past 5 players anymore doesn’t mean he’s awful.

His link up play and the way he dictates the tempo is as good as anyone in world football.

He’s set such high expectations though that dictating play is now seen a fucking boring.

Yeah, I disagree. He was getting constantly closed down and lost the ball three or four times trying to play or pass through their midfield earlier in the match. It is also much easier to mark him now—it used to be nearly impossible.

He is absolutely nowhere near the peak of his powers now and it shows, and often struggles to impose himself on matches, even with PSG.

But class is permanent, so when he gets a chance in or around the box he can still put it away, hence the scoring or assisting every goal the 5% of the time.
