Chiesa got a cruciate ligament injury in January of this year. Which has set him back. Would have loved him here before that but now it is a waiting game to see how well he recovers.

Made his comeback from the injury above in Oct with a few sub mins but has had a couple of setbacks so a bit off at the moment. Probably take until at least 2023/24 season before back to his previous form.

who arent chelsea going for?? How does it work for FFP for them? £280m odd last summer and rumoured to be signing Nkunku for £60-70m, going for Guardiol, interested in Bellingham?

Oh and Rice is dead cert apparently! Funny there accounts are not out yet?! Massive losses I predict unless they’ve employed the Juventus accountants!
 
Bruno Guimaraes. Think he would be an excellent replacement for Gundogan/Bernardo. He would be costly - but a top class player.

Gvardiol - proved he is a class act at World Cup - can play at left-back! - Chelsea wanting him.

I’d also love Pedri / Gavi but think it’s unlikely they would leave Barca.

Pauleta?

Sadly pal that ship set sail a long time ago on hopes of us signing Pauleta, who would've been a great signing he wanted a move here for a good 3 or 4 years, him and his agent was always continuously flirting with the idea.

I think he might secretly have been a blue it's a shame we never went for a natural goalscorer who actually wanted to move here, he certainly liked us a bit or the idea as he strangely even courted a move to us under Pearce, his agent wouldn't shut up for years about hopes of a deal being struck with us and him maybe joining, he wanted it from when we promoted under Keegan instead we chose other City legends like Vuoso Fowler Corradi and Samaras etc.

Pauleta was a real fox in the box with hunger after only turning pro at 23 was humble and a model pro, he probably would've scored twice what the others did, had we moved for him after promotion and formed a deadly partnership with Anelka too.

I could see Laporte going in the summer to be honest but not sure we need another top class CB as imo we have far too much rotation at the back which is causing some of the sloppy goals we are conceding
