I can’t argue with you but don’t mistake my post for being pro-Southgate.

Yeah he has won nothing but did beat some poor teams along the way
 
Not really down to Southgate tonight. He has built a team that is not happy to just get to the QF. Fine margins - shite ref, missed pen., great 2nd French cross and header.
Sterling sub was the only real dropped bollock. Grealish was obvious sub.
Gutted but not suicidal.
 
Bear in mind if he does fuck off, we’ll have to listen to him drone on for years in the umpteen punditry gigs he’ll get cos one things for sure, he ain’t getting another job in football this side of Saudi Arabia or China.

Bluehammer wants him to be the next west ham manager but I think Barca madrid city bayern will be calling .

Don’t remember any particular clamour for Taylor to get the job. I seem to remember Clough or Venables were the names most fans were talking about.

Even the Sterling sub you never know. Pep put him on in his last game for City and it worked then.
 
We are ranked 5th and France 4th in the world rankings - we got exactly to where we should have got. In the last 3 tournaments we have failed to beat anyone ranked higher than us but have lost to teams lower than us. Southgate is therefore under achieving. As our old friend Rafa would have said those are the facts.
