By the looks of the documents, it seems that Populas have the gig for the North Stand

Im guessing there will be a temporary club shop somewhere on the campus asap.

The Planning Statement confirms they've had pre-application discussions and done a briefing to Councillors on proposals. I wonder if that's also included the next stage and what's to come. I would imagine we'll see proposals very early in the new year and an application not long after that, once they've ticked the box on consultation! It's already finalised I'm sure.

Look at the drawings , I would personally move the shop and musuem to next to Alan Turing Way right next to exit from COOP live, then use the land that was the super casino for shops and hotels etc but could be the other way about and they build a hotel right next to COOP live

CS 2.0 Upgrated City - the reason for this is that there is a bridge that has a exit from COOP live
CS + M Club Shop & Musuem that could be linked to the staduim via a walkway
H,S,L,L,H This could be a mixed use building that could be booked ended by two hotels and feature pubs, restuarants, cinema, offices and apartments

Sorry for the rubbish drawings

Looking at the Coal Mining Risk Assessment document, I was surprised that there is still an unlocated and untreated shaft (Shaft H) within the campus, if I've read the latest projected position in that document correctly it's somewhere between an E-W line roughly level with the back of the shop and the metrolink cutting.

Timeline of all the ground works.

Demolish Club Shop 29 Jun 23
Dismantle & Remove Club shop/Seating Area Structures + Grub Up Foundations 13 Jul 23
Establish Safe Route for Fans including hoardings 11 Jul 23

It should be noted that there is a ton of groundwork to be done over the next 12 months. It sounds like actual construction won't start until early 2024 due to the amount of work which needs completing since the listings here stop at Jan 2024.

Summer 2025 will likely be the planned completion time period.

Going off those timings are we likely to see temporary-temporary facilities set up while works are completed on the arena? Maybe in one of the other sports facilities like the indoor/outdoor athletics track, or at the CFA. It may also lead to more facilities like the new area in the South stand installed around the stadium, giving pre & post match entertainment etc

Here are a couple of stadiums done by Populous recently all in the USA, every single one of them features a home end with safe standing.

Populous have also done work on Spurs' new stadium and they designed the new AC Milan and Inter Milan Cathedral Stadium

The Co Op Arena is not the world class attraction we were expecting for the Collar site. It's a great addition to the adjoining piece of land, but it is an evening destination attraction. Currently with approx. 19 day time matches at the Etihad plus evening games, 120-180 evening events at the Co Op Arena, there are 345 days per year with nothing going on during the peak day time hours at the site. The Collar site still needs a major day time attraction to pull in the visitors to attract the Hotels, restaurants etc.

What did you have in mind?

With Spurs featuring Beavertown Brewery in their stadium, what brewery would you like to see featured in Etihad if city copied what Spurs have done

Cloudwater is the obvious local choice if you want something similar to what Beavertown is marketing themselves as (they actually sold out to Heineken ages ago, so not the independent brewer they trade as)

Remember years ago when the rags were rumoured to be getting Boddies as a sponsor. Can't even buy the stuff now.
