Always has been, always will be.
I'm surprised this has come as a shock to some.
He's based his whole career on saying something controversial every couple of years.
He's a brilliant motoring journalist, perhaps the best ever, and a great writer.
People who aren't necessarily petrol heads should at least read "I know you got soul" to get some idea of how the man thinks.
He's becoming what's generally perceived as a dinosaur in this turgid little fucked up world we live in today.
I don't always agree with him, but the world would be a less enjoyable place if we didn't have his comments to laugh at and debate.

I never did like him, I think he's a bully. He's pulled some shit, hitting a producer as his meal wasn't hot. Closing a public footpath on his land. Some workers at Rovers Longbridge plant blame him for lack of sales and eventual closure. Lorry drivers killing prostitutes' accusations.
I know some find him funny but I just don't like him, even before the Markle thing.

I'd love to pull that all apart. But I fear I may use far too many paragraphs to achieve it. ;-)
I'm not defending the man, quite the contrary, but I believe as a highly respected journalist, he deserves a little slack. Not total and unreserved licence to say what he wants, but I know he didn't actually mean what he wrote, but that's just my opinion based on reading his books.
I respect his opinions as much as I respect yours Bill. Doesn't mean I agree with either of you.

He was in the Army for 10 years with his first couple of years in officer training, he did 2 tours of Afghanistan, 10 weeks and 20 weeks, not something I'd like to be doing and I'm sure he was at some risk, but don't make out he was leading the charge of the light brigade.

Regarding funerals I've been to plenty of family and discovered the body of one when I was still at infants school, but I guess we disagree on what's suffering. What I'm saying, and what the US talking circuit has reported, is that he's a one trick pony who goes on about his mum dying at the hands of the press and the impact in his mental health. Invictus is all he has that's real to keep him in the limelight.

We're just going to disagree about their value, as I don't see any in either. They bitch about their family (welcome to the world) and while wanting privacy they want to produce content that feeds the controversy. Happy to make a buck from their own controlled sites.

Harry married his mum and Meghan happily seems to feed the media just like Diana did "Oh whoa is me, but look at my new frock".

They are good at what they do, but what they do isn't worth doing

Re the privacy thing, it's largely made up by the other fat idiot Meghan hater Piers Morgan.

They never said they wanted privacy, they wanted to escape from the horrible pack of rabid dogs that is the out of control UK media .
This they have done.
Harry wanted to get his family away from them and I don't blame him.
He saw what happened to his mother.
