Everton (H) | Post Match Thread

Poor from us, but that second half was a complete non-event thanks to Everton's "tactics" and the ref's unwillingness to apply any pressure on them to cut it out.

I know in the distant past shit City teams would try to take the sting out of the game in order to crawl over the line in order to get unexpected points, AND you can only fight with the weapons that you have at your disposal, BUT Everton should be fucking embarrassed about the "fall over/complain/fall over/stay down bullshit that they did for almost 30 minutes today.

Tiny, tiny consolation: Newcastle dropped two points as well, and they will consider that to be just as shit a result, given who they were up against.
Now, over to you, Arsenal. If you beat a very useful Brighton team at their gaff, you'll be seven points clear. And it will be thoroughly deserved.

Erling needs to meet the team half way, though. This was always my concern with him when 90% of the teams we play park the bus. Dropping deeper and receiving the ball really isn’t his game like it is/was Jesus’s or Alvarez’s. Idk what the answer is tbh.
 
Something is off this season. we have the striker we wanted, he is scoring a lot but its like rest of the team regressed. also our attacks are very Haaland heavy, almost everything has to find him, we were a bit more creative when we did not have a striker attacking wise.

to drop points in these easy home games is gonna cost a lot.
 
Only one person to blame for that shit show.
He does it time and time again.
Even moaned that we should be allowed 5 subs per match.
Then either doesn't use any or waits until the last few minutes.
Over thinks champions league matches.
Then says he will learn...but never does.

If you need his name, then you don't know football...
 
I warn you now, this post is going to be controversial. I’m not daft, just a bit Pollyannaish!! I just love City I know they can play like the best team etc or have a nightmare but they are my team so….

The Boys in Blue didn’t give in. They fought to the end. Thank you City, thank you lads, thank you fans. You didn’t exactly show ‘em but you tried. We’ll be back. We’ll show ‘em then, we’ll show ‘em all. Toffees, Media, Referees!!

Thankfully Newcastle drew today too. Need a bad arsenal performs and today won’t look as bad. That was putrid
 
Winter has finally come.
Conceding a goal per game is unsustainable for for any success exactly because of games like this one.
Haaland is a blessing and curse because of the games like this one.
Pep's back three in the attacking phase is not working.
