Juanma Lillo | Leaving the club before the CWC (p52)

Is it just me or do our assistants seem to move on quiet regularly,compared to other clubs yes it could be the downside of success unfortunately just find it strange..
 
During his Barcelona days his main assistant was Tito Vilanova. Domenec Torrent was just an analyst. Torrent was Guardiolas right hand during his Bayern stint and during his first 2 seasons at City. Arteta became his main assistant during 2018-2019 season and stayed on until December 2019 when he became Arsenals coach. Borrel took over the role till the end of the season when Juanma Lillo was appointed. Now Borrel is his right hand again and Maresca is just a part of the staff but i believe City and Guardiola have plans for him as well
 
Always felt he could do with an assistant to help him out but doesn’t it take an Einstein to realize that playing two slow wingers in the same side isn’t going to cut it in the modern game. It’s surprising he doesn’t see this. Arsenal will win the league at a canter for the simple fact they have skillful pacy wingers and a young KDB impersonator pulling the strings.

I think one of the problems Pep is dealing with now is Haaland

Yes Haaland will possibly break all records & win the golden boot...etc but we might finish below 2nd this season because of Haaland.

We are becoming too predictable & maybe too reliant on Haaland.


Last season without a striker, we scored more than PSG,Madrid, Bayern & the rest

Now we have the best striker in the world, but we are lacking the X factor ( un predicted player showing to make the difference )
 
The crazy bastard already has an imaginary "strong" assistant

I actually don't think we involve and use Haaland enough. Plenty of times he’s made an excellent run and We have just gone backwards or sideways. Its clearly the wide players being instructed to play it safe and keep possession. I‘m also not convinced that Mahrez and Grealish on the wings at the same time works Without an overlapping fullback

I just think we are still adapting to actually having a striker, and not taking advantage of the runs and movement Haaland makes.

I think this season pep has noticed the amount of goals we concede and it’s shit him up
