Delph played as a fullback while he was here and won one or two trophies but in reality would you really call Delph a fullback? Your argument doesn't really hold.
Delph had 10 years as a professional midfielder before moving to LB.

Phil Foden has played 99% of professional football as a winger.

Whilst I agree with the sentiment, this rocky patch is lasting a while now. His really impressive performances have been the exception rather than the norm this season
He looked impressive enough for England tho...

Not this shite again.

He's literally played hundreds of games and won a dozen trophies and personal accolades playing as a winger.

You can count on one hand the number of games he's played in central midfield for City. If he's not a winger, he's nothing.
Nonsense...

He's not a natural winger. If he showed up today at a tryout no one would put him on the wing.

At some point we have to accept Pep doesn't always want them to play in their natural positions but what he thinks they're best for the team.

Or we could just accept that players who've played on the wing almost every week for 5 years are, in fact, wingers.

Some people here will see him as a winger. That’s ok.

He’s a highly talented footballer that’s been asked to play as one as well as F9 a little bit. He’s someone that always wants the ball, wants that gear change on the half turn, amongst other things.

Not going to happen when he’s on the periphery of games. I’ve said before that since Kev is the high risk player in the middle, Phil should be one too. Kev can’t play forever and I believe it’s ok having him there now.

KDB isn't always going to be on top form as we’ve seen recently. I believe it’s ok to start allowing Phil to take the position.

His best position is as a 10,but i'm not convinced he will ever get opportunity to play there given our other options.
Its bizarre taht he is often shoehorned into a position on the wide left though, and maybe this is starting to mither him.

He can be a victim of his versatility/ability. He can do a decent job in most positions across the front 5
