The inverted fullbacks and constant changing of back 4 does feel needless. Hopefully we can turn this around but Pep has a job on get our tempo and shape right for second half. Lavia looks a lad we should’ve maybe tried to hold on to.Weak link atm. Gives it away too often and is always out of position and no defensive skills. Team as we know needs proper full backs, not Gomez, Cancelo etc.
But the squad could be the weakest its been for some time, our CB’s seem to be constantly injured, full backs woeful, no pace in midfield and no Rodri is a huge fall off in standards.
But lots on Pep constantly putting square pegs into round holes, changing the back 4 every week and baffling stuff like inverted full backs.
If we get 3 quick goals ( which I can’t see 1 coming) then we might still be in this.We were so far off it after 5 minutes I got 7-1 on Southampton
So does Rico…-at 17Lavia has the higher ceiling that Kalvin.

Imagine driving there for this.Feel sorry for the 3000 city fans down there
He has been dross. Absolute crap. It was his misplaced pass that started the shitshow that led to Gomez mess up and then he didn’t get the tackle in which then led to the Ortega mess!Philipps has lost every 50/50?...weak
You only play every few weeks in that competition. Consistency has nowt to do with it. You can be shit for every game in between and raise it for the CL when it comes around. That why teams who have had very inconsistent seasons, finishing fourth or fifth in the Prem can win the CL.
Consistently winning games even even the most important thing when trying to win the CL. In a round you can progress with one win and one draw, one win and one defeat or two draws and win on penalties.
You only need consistency in the league.
And everyone else get your shit together.Grealish and Palmer off for Haaland and KDB move Foden out to left and Alvarez to right Phillips off for Bernardo move gundogan to dm and Gomez off for Ake move cancelo to left and walker to Rb
Thought I saw Kevin warming up as the players left the fieldI hope he’s not tempted to bring on de Bruyne, Rodri or Haaland. Just give this lot a proper bollocking and at least get them winning some of their battles.
It’s a big call for Pep. I reckon it will be a half-way response, that is he will save some of the first-teamers and/or use them in a limited way.Save the big guns. Throw the fucking tie. We have bigger fish to fry this year. Not worth risking Saturday for.
