We do look rather toothless away from home at the moment.

I feel that our players have been conditioned for a safety first approach at all times. The runs are there, both KDB and Haaland have made some fantastic runs but Bernardo, Walker and Cancelo seem reluctant to make the pass.

Cancelo playing well today (apart from in the second minute missed playing Foden clean through) and Rodri especially. I think we've been good enough, just misplacing passes at the key moment.

Another boring game where a team sits back and looks for a ball over the top because we are obsessed with passing the fucking ball sideways and slowing the game down. They are marking the only player who can find a bit of magic out of the game and as usual when that happens we look like shit.

observations :

1. rodri is so important and the best player in the team atm
2. defense has actually been fine generally
3. pep has done all he can today, the team is right and the instructions are good - unbelievably shit individual performances are fucking us.

I’d stick Bernardo front left, get Foden off and stick gundo in the middle
Not creating anything
Very low on confidence and scared of losing it, just resulting in players making the easiest option and it’s just constantly working it’s way back to Ake and Akanji

Thought we improved as the half wore on. But we’re massively hamstrung by our two best creative players (Foden and De Bruyne) being miles off it, and Mahrez not being much better. All giving it away so cheaply.

Pretty poor first half overall. Grew into it and looked to be turning the screw a bit in the last 5, but passing all over the park was pretty shit. Need to give their heads a wobble for the 2nd half and get their collective acts together.

Our pace is ZERO.Most players seem to be fatigue. World Cup effect? Who knows....
KDB and Foden are unbelievably bad!! I mean come on!
Silva not too sharp either.
Our concentration is poor also. Too many wrong passes for no reason.
As for the formation, I don't see any problem with it, its normal.
