100% agree, Bernardo is my favorite player at the club but the constant speculation has gone on far too long.

Put up or shut up from the player and maybe it's time the club put a stop to it, if he is genuinely unhappy, get shut, it's doing no one any favors'.
 
Even though he doesn’t want to be here, you could always rely on his heart and effort during games.

That’s now gone and he’s making it easy for the club to cut loose and give in.

It would be really interesting to see the direction of his passes as I’m convinced I’ve just seen him pass it sideways and backwards for 70% of the time, which for a player in the 8/10 position of a midfield 3 is pathetic.
 
just let him go now. I wouldn’t be arsed at this point. Has no fire in him anymore, he’s just going through the motions until his move.

He doesn’t even seem to carry the ball anymore like he used to. Most of the time now, he just receives the ball, takes half a dozen too many touches and not much else.
 
Diabolical. He's a great player but he's been average for a while and today was a new low for him. Clearly misses the sunshine and I can't wait to see the back of him now.
 
Quite literally running round in circles. I have no doubts he is doing what Pep wants but its just not happening anymore, he won't be here next year.
 
If there’s a bid for him this month then we should sell because he’s offering nothing and he clearly wants out. It’s hard to argue that his value is rising at the moment.

Getting rid of one of our sacred cows might give the rest of the squad a kick up the arse as well.

Well, he wanted to be off at the end of last season, and that’s probably a good indicator that it’s not worth trying to keep players for another season that really don’t want to be here anymore.
 
Love him to bits but have to hold my hands up and say he creates very little, if nothing, these days.

He’s gone from being one of the most devastating mercurial talents in football to a hard work merchant in 3 years.


And it’s not because he’s out of position (he says it’s his preferred position). And it’s not because no one can in that position - Loads of midfielders can press and defend off the ball and then play with flair and control when they get the ball.

It’s like he was lobotomised at some point in 2021. The hard work and determination is still there but spark has gone.
 
He doesn’t want to play for us and he currently contributes very little.

Only him and hopefully the manager know if these 2 things are connected. Presumably they aren’t or why would the manager pick him?

Peripheral in 17/18.
Brilliant in 18/19.
Anonymous in 19/20.
Bit better but not great in 20/21.
Good in 21/22.
Dreadful in 22/23.

Has had as many poor seasons for us as good, and he wants out.
