Here's a pretty thorough iso vid of CD's actions vs Reading a few days ago.
Agreed - he's brilliant on the ball. This is about as close as you could get to Laporte's passing range from CB. I'm still not sure whether Doyle will make it at City, but he clearly has talent with the ball.
Not sure which of them is best but Doyle certainly has shown some great passing ability. For a lad of his age he is getting some great experience and surely will go on to have a career at a very good level.Brilliant news. If he`s patient and we get his loan moves right I think this could be another first-teamer. I personally rate him higher than Tosin, Harwood-Bellis and Mbete

It is odd how some of the lads, such as Callum and Joe Hodge, who were never big fish at EDs level are doing so well in the men's game.
I wonder what pathway he was sold? - if he is going on loan next season it either needs to be to a Premier League team or one of the potential winners of the Championship - maybe Everton would be suitable?
Doyle was excellent at EDS and U18 level and won the league title with both. He's getting a lot of senior football under his belt and was a standout for Sunderland in League 1 and is still doing well at the higher level for Coventry. He's still very young so I wonder whether we'd be happy with another season in the Championship if he's playing, or if a PL team looked to him. It's rare that a PL team take a punt on a youngster though, particularly at the back.
From what i have seen of him at Coventry, the Championship is his best learning experience.I dont feel he is quite ready for the Prem and he would lose out on valuable playing time and/or his confidence would be affected.
Yeah I agree, far better to be playing week in week out as a defender than sat on the bench in the prem. He's unlikely to get a move to a prem team as a starter considering his age.
