I still do not get this Bielsa is a better manager bit.

Probably to do with his record and managerial statistics I'd guess, coupled with the attractiveness of his football. He's a lot better than Dyche.

His style of football is centred on fitness and you can't bring him in with no time to get players up to that level, especially this Everton squad. I can't see how they'd have stayed up with him in charge, but longer term you'd like to think he could succeed. The issue with Bielsa, in my opinion, is his reliance on a small number of players to implement his tactics. Once there's an issue in terms of injuries or once he's been in charge for a few seasons they completely burnout. The wheels completely came off at Leeds in his last season with them because of those two things. They were running a lot but not in the rigid style he needed so they shipped goal too easily.

Going down unless they do some good business in the nest few days, 15 goals in 20 games suggests they could do with bringing in a couple of attacking players.

The right appointment in my opinion. He'll get them playing with a solid defence and getting the ball forwards quickly. That mentality at home will see them pick up points and potentially stay up. They can't play progressive football with this team, they need to build from a solid defence and putting physical effort in to get the fans on side.

Let him keep you up, sack him in the summer and then bring in someone like Bielsa to run more of an ambitious project.
Problem is there is.no solid defenders to call on. Every single one of them is championship level.

Well we struggled to score past them when they sat back and defended. That has to be their starting point in every game. At home, with the Goodison crowd they should be able to get points through hoofball and a solid defence. Lampard tried to play more progressive and it cost them. Unfortunately for Everton, they've spent a fortune on absolute shite and rather than Lampard not getting enough out of their squad the answer is just to play a more basic game which says a lot about the level they're at.

Goodison is at its best when challenges are going in and players are battling as well as getting the ball forward, which is what he will do. However the football is dated, its not great to watch and also long term its not what you want to see.

Assume as he will want results quickly, he will want his type of players in the next few days, which will be older, wiser brutes who can make a quick impact, not young exciting playets. But we shouldnt be letting him spend money, just try to see what we can get on loan.

Fucking depressing. Dont want him, but even if he's a short term appointment, its still another manager change yet again

Every year we stagnate is another year closer to relegation as other teams around us are getting better.
I said to a toffee friend recently that Everton now are like city circa 1994. You can only flirt with relegation so many times before the arse falls out the team. Some clubs are happy to be in the Prem and relegation doest phase them. But genuine big clubs with a history of top flight football crack under the pressure.

The idea should be if Frank was the problem, that Dyche won't need to sign anyone as the players aren't the problem.

It's the equivalent of appointing fat Sam ten years ago - he'll probably keep them up.
