Alexander-Arnold repeatedly impresses me with just how shit he is defensively. You see wingers defend better than him, mitoma is literally just jogging by him every single time.

No. The Laws state that if it hits his hand, he’d have to be the one who set up the goal scoring shot off his arm for it to be disallowed for handball.
That shouldn’t be the question, though. It is whether the handball allowed the player to retain possession and if it would be called if the referee had seen it. On both counts it is a foul in the build up (that goal does not happen without the handball, as the ball was going behind Keita without it). It was more of a foul in the build up than Haaland’s on Fabinho when Foden’s goal against Liverpool was chalked off.

Another stupid rule, making an extra pass let’s them get away with handball.

He can still be done for handball if it is deemed punishable in normal situations. Just like a foul can chalk off a goal in the build up. The handball for setting up a goal or scoring is if it touches the arms no matter what.

I still think it was the right decision. It hits his thigh first, then hand close to body. They've been consistent in that regard.

Playing dodgeball, what precisely is the point of var?

Mitoma is the perfect footballer for YouTube clips that fade away before any goal is shown
