PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Can we protest like the rags do ?

Don’t know why but I’ve just had the unnerving feeling that Gary Cook is involved somehow, he’d know where the initial bodies are buried, given the charges stretch back to his time, and now he’s got a job with the Saudis, perfect timing for the barcodes, and full protection from the Saudi regime when he turns star witness…..I do love a conspiracy theory

This is the point that gets consistently lost. I would assume that City will now chalkenge the whole FFP charade as being an anti-competitive illegal construct introduced in bad-faith by a cartel.

This point is bollocks.

The club has haf 14 years to challenge the legality of Financial Fair Play.

They've chosen not to, and signed agreements to follow those rules, so they deserve to be punished for breaking them.

The worst thing about this now is it it’ll take 2 years to come to a conclusion with the possible appeals etc

Wankers.

Looking forward to how the club respond.

Should sue for defamation.

As the auditors surely would????

To me, if this has happened its a major collusion. However, i don't think City or our auditors would want to experience any reputational damage.

The way I read it is that it is:
"Further breaches related to rules requiring full details of "manager remuneration".

These were related to the 2009-10 to 2012-13 seasons, when Roberto Mancini was in charge."

Does that mean we were paying Bobby Manc too much? Or not paying Pep enough?
I can't remember the details but there were reports a couple of years ago something to the effect that Mancini got his salary from City, but he also got a seperate sum for being a 'consultant' coach at a club in AD. That payment didn't come from City, but presumably the PL's allegation would be that it was effectively a concealed bung.

We'll definitely be stripped of titles if these hold up.
I don't think the mechanism for that exists, unless they're going to strip titles and have no winners in for the years in question. Way too complicated as they would have to expunge City's playing records in the seasons in question, which creates loads of variables - not just a case of the team in runners up taking the title.

Make no mistake we found guilty they will kick us out the league 100% we are to much of threat long term for the likes of Chelsea rags scousers Arsenal so kick us down the leagues get those clubs ahead of us for years and years
Anyone remember this? I seem to recall that Sugar took it to arbitration and got most of the more serious punishments such as the 12 point penalty and the FA Cup participation ban overturned:

You can’t say that. You don’t know the finer details of the evidence, the PL case, and our defence.

Read it at the end they say this commission can relegate if found guilty do you think these kunts run by the yanks won’t want to kick us out the league

This case won't be decided by the 'independent' tribual, it'll be in the High Court on appeal after we've been found guilty. My concern is that will have much less scope to interfere with the tribunal's decision than CAS did. All very very concerning.
