PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Funny you should say that but a mate has just messaged me saying this could be the PL's way of bringing the investigation to a conclusion - that most of the allegations could be complete bollocks but we're perhaps guilty of some of the minor ones
That is increasingly what I’m thinking.
City might take another pinch on minor matters, still get tarred with cheats brush anyway in the court of public opinion, PL looks after its redshirt masters and is able to PR its way into showing it is ‘tough’ at the time a new regulator may be imminent

Just hearing a candlelit protest taking place in Liverpool this evening. They believe titles when they came 2nd should be theirs.

So Pep said 8 or 9 clubs wrote to the league trying to get us thrown out. Thought he must have been on about the letter to CAS but obviously not. These cunts like writing their snidey little letters don't they.

I saw that in his press conference and thought it was a mistake when he said premier league instead of champions league. Now it makes sense, he must have known what was coming.

Sounds like some rather petty, low-level charges in amongst them?
They have thrown everything at us bar the kitchen sink. Most charges seems to be based on players' image rights, managers consultant's fees (Mancini and Pellegrini), a technical breach including an Academy player, and a re-hash of the UEFA (lack of) evidence.
I get the feeling the PL want to cut a deal which means we will have to admit some of the charges on "off the book" payments (which happens at all clubs). That will be victory for the PL which sends a message to the Government and a warning shot to all other PL clubs.
I can't believe the PL want this to run for another five years with City fighting all the way. Or perhaps they just want to pass the buck to an independent commission which is the usual way of kicking the can down the road. Either way this is incredibly damaging for City and us fans.

I’ve just unsubscribed from every single football podcast I listen to. The next few weeks would be the most annoying fucking period to put up listening to the cunts.
I always avoid stuff like this as I'm not one for listening to podcasts and don't watch Sky Sports ect either...I'm sure Mr.RatBoy will have the footballing world singing to his tune though.

Can I ask how a 4 year investigations ends with allegations but no evidence?

Well because it hasn’t gone to an independent court or whatever yet…

That’s where they’ll provide the evidence if they have it, which they seem to believe they have.

That’s why it’s quite funny that everyone is shitting their knickers when none of us really know what the evidence is yet, because it hasn’t really been shown

This is a very dangerous game by the Premier league and could accelerate a European Super league (for better or for worse). The club owners won't take this lying down.
Is it though?

Let’s replace this story about us with the rags.

We, and the rest of the league, would want due process followed and all the rules and their implications applied.

Other leagues (Italian) have set a precedent for not being shy in handing out big punishments to big clubs.

Not sure I want that.

Will get pelters for this but I want the club to accept wrongdoing, make some changes to the hierarchy and commit to running the club honestly from here on out. Take the punishment on the chin so long as it's not stripping us of past titles. We can't keep doing this every few years.

End of the day, I'd rather a club I can feel proud to support.
Yes, if we are guilty which is a mile away from being proved.
