PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Oh.

I’ve interrupted what I was doing as I had to get this down. I’m not sure where the truth is going to be on this one between the panic jockeys on here or the ones who are too complacent and dismissive. But this doesn’t look pretty. Doesn’t look like the vested interest Der Speigel Bayern sponsored eufa stuff. This is our own league.

Talksport getting all giddy. My mates all rightly “ it seems” piling in enjoying it a bit too much. We’ve been able to see off all the nonsense before but this really doesn’t look pretty.

You give so much to your team, it’s not just support, you give a part of you. A real emotional commitment. And if this proves to be the case, all of the celebrations, joy and the trophies that have made up for crying as Bell got carried off, Kinkladze throwing his boots into the crowd at yet another relegation, going to Gillingham and Wycombe and Millwall, the endless disappointments, the thrashings by both of the red teams over the years, sticking up for your team in the playground, the pub, the office….. then this is going to really take some getting over.

I hope it blows over but I don’t think so, 98+ Smoking Guns, as the lawyers would put it, can’t all be puffed away. Can they?

First thing this morning I woke up concerned at the lack of passion in the team at the moment. Now this embarrassment. Maybe they knew this was coming?

Not sure what else to say. I feel a bit numb.

The timing of this as well, we’re not loved are we...I’m up for a rumble, sick of being hit in the back of the head.
Chelsea spending more than Musk would...this is bollox. Fight City. Fight Club.
We will get our opportunity Sunday, let’s give the PL hell (Sky will be turning the sound down for definite protecting their ‘product’) but I for one will be booing that shit PL anthem at the top of my voice and would implore others to do the same, makes me laugh when you think about the main protagonists in the whole ESL debacle are driving this, the PL are nothing more than a puppet regime

I go out for two hours and the shit hits the fan.

Love this bit from the statement however: The Club welcomes the review of this matter by an independent Commission, to impartially consider the comprehensive body of irrefutable evidence that exists in support of its position.

This is the sort of statement we put out before we went to CAS as we knew we had done nothing wrong. Same situation here I reckon. Wonder if the PL is investigating any other club as there are plenty of financial issues if they care to look.

30 charges relate to non-compliance with the investigation.

25 relate to profit and sustainability.

5 relate to the non-compliance with UEFA, which we were already fined for.

12 relate to breach of details on how much was paid to players between 2010-2016

8 relate to breach the details of how much was paid to managers between 2009-2013

50 relate to accuracy of financial reports to the PL.

Like I said, good luck proving all of that and if we found guilty of a few we will fight it in the higher courts.
All got a “last throw of the dice” vibe to it really.

Just dusting off my Frankie Goes to Hollywood LP.
Relax followed by Two Tribes and finishing with The Power of Love.
I've just hunted down my KC & The Sunshine Band LP:

Na-na, na-na, na-na, na-na-na-na now
City's going up
Going up
City's going up!
Na-na, na-na, na-na, na-na-na-na now
City's going up
Going up
City's going up!

Fucking great days!

When they went to the courts to make us hand over our files am sure the judge was a spurs supporter and not in so many words it was like they must of done something wrong hand over those files! That then was pure bias by a football fan
Spurs not the same problem. Arsenal have been active in pressing this case.

Up the fucking blues. Siege mentality now. Create hell against villa. Boo everything anti city and make it a fortress.

F*ck me!

More than 100 breaches of PL financial rules over 9 years.

The PL really have mde an effort on behalf of the Yank Red Shirts and the Hateful 8.

I wonder how many financial breaches they would find at United/the Glazers and Liverpool/FSG. Not that it will happen.

Just to point out, being expelled from the league wouldn't put us in the championship. It would put us in non-league, probably in the 6th or 7th tier.

Obviously I want us to fight this and keep winning, but if our management has fucked this, I'd be able to find the fun in fighting our way back up from non league.

That's the difference between us and the twats in red (and some white), they'd give up the moment relegation or expulsion hit. Our core support have been to the depths before. We wind up a bit deeper imagine the majority of us would enjoy the ride back up (and the yo-yo up and down, but I think we have enough existing infrastructure now that we could get back up fairly quick).

How do I mute people’s posts about TalkSport? Can we mute keywords like you can on Twitter?

Dont like muting individuals but why would anyone A) Care what Keown and Jordan say about this subject B) Then post on here ha.

My gran probably has an opinion on this but I wouldn’t share it on here and she’d have the same knowledge as Keown on the matter.

I wish people would stop posting stupid inane comments, I don’t know if they are trying to lighten the mood or whatever, but it’s not funny, witty or helpful. This is serious shit and we need to treat it as such.
Fuck all the fans can do about it, might as well have a laugh
