PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

My son messaged me from school yesterday and said “I know now dad why you think rags are as big cunts as dippers”. I didn’t tell him off for using the C word, and he has grown up with the dippers being our main rivals, but he saw the rag pricks as being the cunts they equally are yesterday.

I reminded him that him and his brother, 16 and 14, are brilliant City fans and always will be and that City have always been a brilliant club with brilliant fans, and always will be.

I also reminded him that when he was a baby in his pram we went into the local bakers and he had his City hat on, at which the twat behind the counter said “oh don’t be bringing him in here with that hat on”, to which I said I’ve been listening to shit like that for 50 years and not taken it, and neither will my son; I haven’t and nor has he, and we never will. She then proceeded to tell me that she was only joking, I asked her if she could see me smiling? She handed me my sandwich and I said if you think I’m paying for anything you’ve touched you can fuck right off and threw the fucker (the sandwich) on the floor, and wheeled my son out. Interestingly as I went through the door the bloke behind me said “that’s disgusting”, as I was about to explain my reasons he said not you Blue, her, City til we die, and he walked out too saying I’m never coming in this shop again. 16 years later and I don’t know if he’s been back in but I haven’t.

Blue blood runs deep and thick. I am proud of my son, he is quite badly behaved at times but he is City through and through, as is his younger brother. They were with me at spurs on Sunday and as Harry said yesterday if they relegate us it’ll be easier to get tickets for away games, bless him.

We survived 35 years without a trophy, over 20 years of Peter fucking Swales, we will survive this.

CITY TIL WE DIE
I forgot to add. I told the fucker behind the counter that my son will have been to more City games than she’s been to united by the time he is 6. I lied about that, he’d done it by the time he was 3.

CITY TIL WE DIE

Don't even know what to make of this. Is there some kind of clause in Pep's contract that prevents us from defending ourselves from false allegations

The maths is fairly straightforward. We think this situation will drag on for years, Pep's contract is up in under 2.5 years. Don't see anything surprising about the news.

Apologies if this has already been covered.

I have worked for the same highly profitable large corporation business in a senior management role for the last 38 years.

Businesses don't make decisions or decide courses of action, Directors and senior managers do.

Exactly who in the PL management structure is driving this?
Wild guess

I've sort of just given up, WE ARE GUILTY no matter the outcome, Manchester city can not win,
we are public enemy number one, with the red scum media leading the witch hunt, the damage was done a long time, not by the money, But by our own media team being so weak, letting the media run riot and totally unchallenged from day one, it should have been an iron fist and legal action taken,

just go and look at liverpool and Klopp in the after match interview at the weekend ? we told you am not taking any Questions from you, the club have made it very clear to you,

NOW we have a Kangaroo court in the media and with the public, every time something comes up, Guilty ? end of story, whatever the statement it's Manchester city cheating again and again,
Sad but true mate, and it's become tiresome, if we get found not guilty it will because we have paid somebody off. I love the club but what is evident here is the PL and the game is corrupt , football is basically finished for me with all this shit, football should never be political, its all about what's on the pitch and nothing else should come into it. Creative accounting is part of any business, and there isn't a club in the land in any division that doesn't use legal loopholes. Why is it just us being dragged over the coals? Every club in the PL should be under scrutiny with the money involved.

So whatever the out come of these allegations it's certain there's a witch-hunt and our reputation is forever tarnished in the eyes of many football fans. There's an ongoing campaign to discredit us and effect any ongoing and future plans we have to improve the club and bring in new players. So is it time to say to hell with the pL and the corrupt cartel and look at a version of the European super league? Although it pains me to say it I'm begining to think this might be the best option
No

I see we are down to about 18 pages per hour now.

What more is there to discuss ? There's nothing new coming out.

It is natural after such a massive story like this broke to see it discussed. It will die down if as expected the case isn't heard for a few more years.

Khaldoon will wait for his moment, this is not that time

I just hope in that meantime City ban the bastards in the press that are pushing this story and the CL one from the Etihad. We don't want yes men we want fair decent reporting not having rats in our house eating the free scones and murdering us in their rags for the benefit of the cartel.

We could at the very least do that.

It’s amazing that all this boils down to a man not being allowed to spend his own money how he pleases so has had to (apparently) be creative with it.
This is the fundamental point that should’ve been fought from day one.No other industry in the world can stop an individual putting money in to help said business progress. It’s laughable and was only invented to stop us,simple as.At the same time, for the other 98% of football history in this country, teams could do pretty much anything they wanted to gain success and nobody would bat an eyelid, unless they actually went bust!Different landscape completely now,all down to City becoming wealthy. Utter f’kin shithouses…

I forgot to add. I told the fucker behind the counter that my son will have been to more City games than she’s been to united by the time he is 6. I lied about that, he’d done it by the time he was 3.

CITY TIL WE DIE
My kids tell the Rags at their school they have been to Wembley more times than they have been to the swamp

Worth noting despite being United’s manager and also being good (unfortunately), he is not a knobhead!!

I would not expect him to say too much, unlike people like Klopp etc. who will say I’m not saying anything but…
bingo funnily enough will know all about FFP and how it works after last week cliaming he didnt know the rules over chelsea's spending

This feels very different to the UEFA episode. Make no bones about it this is a complete witch hunt. During the last legal battle the owners/club remained dignified and followed the legal advice by remaining quiet and reserved through the media. What concerns me with the PL charges - being so many of them - is that this is an outright attack on the very fabric of the club, the soul of our beloved City is under siege. The press have been briefed and have gone into full vulture mode. I simply cannot believe that our owners after following the highest paid advice about the business would be so stupid to flout the rules so blatantly.

For me the time has come to fight fire with fire. We must get in front of this today. This will not go away and we need something more than a paragraph or two stating surprise at timings etc. We need a blunt media briefing denying it all. We are a professionally run organisation but one thing has always irked me - our media & communications team are not the greatest. From getting players name to pictures wrong on the official website to most importantly a reserved approach to many journalistic whispers of how bad an oil run club is - we have been treated at times like the devil and yet not once have really gone at the media about it.

I really hope that we don't, through any appeals process, take a plea and accept even one or two charges taking a fine or a small point deduction. This is different to Juve or Rangers cases because we know any admission no matter how minor will stick with us forever. There are those who are fully determined to ruin our club and send us back to where they see we deserve to be. Any admission of guilt will stay and our success will always be tainted. For this reason alone the club if truly innocent, need to act.

They need to publicly make a statement denying it all. They need to infer that there are fractions behind these accusations. They need to call out the role of other clubs in trying to stop us. They need to state how the club have always been run and what positives have been achieved for the community. They need to remind many how they have not run the club through debt.

Of course if they have conducted the business in line with other organisations, accepted standard practices if you will that blur the lines of legality they need to call out their advisors and accountants that must be party to it. They must similarly call out other clubs who follow similar industry practices. Yes they may risk action against such accusations but as I said this is a co-ordinated attack on our soul.

I'm not a legal guy but one thing is clear any amount of shit sticks and they need to act to stop it now. They must not let the manager or the players have to be the face of their club. I'm sure many fans like me have been inundated with friends who follow other teams jumping all over this with wild insinuations - easy to ignore but not nice to defend from afar.

Finally I know they will try and keep the playing and business side separate but perhaps we will learn a bit from the Villa game. If as with the last UEFA attack they come out and play as if under a siege we will know the exact discussions between owners and team. If the play with apathy or a resignation of the inevitable we should all be worried. I have to think it will be the former. Pep himself has shown signs of fatigue in recent weeks so I just hope he's up for another fight against the integrity of our success.
