The ball that Kev played and led to our second goal was on all game but Rodri and Gundo still for some reason refuse to play it
Madness. Even if he doesn’t get there it keeps them honest and fearful
And that second goal only happens because it’s Haaland. Chambers shat himself with the header, knowing who was on his shoulder. Martinez shat himself by being too far out of his goal.
If that was Alvarez, that goal simply does not happen
Still baffled why Ederson doesn’t try that at least 3/4 times a game, just to instil panic
As today proved, picking up the pieces and second balls from panic and fear-inspired bad decisions can be very fruitful

Was a foul to be fair but great to see us play that pass a couple of times today

I’ve not seen it back yet, but it looked like both players did the same thing and collided with each other.

Only thing is, the ball went out away from goal which suggests their keeper got a touch as they collided so that kind of does make it a foul by Haaland.

But not seen it yet.

I totally agree.

That goal should've stood. Erling is looking at the ball and having his shirt pulled at the same time and only saw the keeper at the last minute. The keeper played for that as he could see everything and then had the nerve to hold his head when he went down and that won the freekick.

A great assist today, he's so quick, he left the defender for dead there.

He's only going to get better and will be a legend for us!
 
How bloody fast is he? Great that he got his assist but I'm with Pep about the penalty - you want your striker especially one that has gone three games without a goal taking that. Great pen that it was from Mahrez it was a bit selfish to demand taking it when you have a designated taker.
 
We're starting to use him a bit more. Still nowhere near enough but it's progress. So far he's been on energy saving mode, not even got into first gear yet. There's so much more to come from him it's scary. Superb play for the assist could have got another hattrick by halftime today, Gundo should have squared it to him when he was through, could have scored himself instead of taking a touch before gundo goal and should have took the penalty.

Agreed. Goalkeepers are overprotected in football.. The easiest thing for them to just fall down to the ground on a corner, and they will get the free kick no matter what. It was a fair challenge were they both went for it. A clear goal imo.
 
A different side of him yesterday,very unselfish and putting the team first.

That goal should have stood,it was no more a foul on the keeper than it was on him and the ball fell loose to Gundo.

Amazing how better he looks when we include him in the play.......

We were winning 2-0 but I wouldn’t fancy Mahrez if our lives Depended on it . I’m amazed and disappointed that he pushed himself in front of haaland because 5 weeks ago That wouldn’t have happened .

The frustrating thing is, as soon as Haaland went off Kev tried that bending ball behind the defence a few times to Alvarez. Maybe it’s a matter of Kev being on the wing for it to be on.
 
Found it very odd he didn’t take penalty. He’s our main striker not scored for a few games he needed a goal.

Also strange Rodri over ruled the captain Gundy. Gundy wanted haaland to take it Rodri wanted Mahrez.

Great penalty from Mahrez however our striker should be taking them end of
