Arsenal (A) | Post Match Thread

Absolute passion from the lads tonight, did you see what it fucking means to them? They know what it means to be City, to have the refs screw you over every game, to be constantly barraged by the media and downplayed at every turn.

But just look at the celebrations, they want this title, our title

Get in there, after Mahrez was taken off and Bernardo switched to the right our press became instantly better and we forced Arsenal into several mistakes, Haaland and Dias the best players on the pitch, time for our trademark winning streak that wins us the league and it's the perfect time for it.

Awesome result

Extremely poor first half and we improved in the second half especially when we went to a normal back 4...Bernardo started to affect the game further forward, Kev had support and Haaland not isolated anymore. Hopefully that is the end of the experiment of Bernardo Silva as a false left back as it just does not work

Mahrez was woeful all game. He shouldnt be playing - and the whole midfield was terrible in the first half....but he was terrible all game

Improved second half, kev started to play (but looks a shadow of his former self), but Gundo started to tick and control the tempo and Rodri got a grip of the midfield.

Please Pep, go back to a normal back four and play the midfielders where they are supposed to play....

Great finish from Haaland and Grealish is finally starting to shoot!

We have 10 games before we play them again......we need to make that game in hand they have redundant which means someone else needs to do us a favour BUT thats 3 games they havent won for and they will start to feel the pressure.

We have to keep the pressure on and there isnt a lot of room for mistakes.....going to be an interesting second half of the season....the loss of Partey and Jesus is hurting them

Men of the match were Grealish and Haaland. Grealish for never panicking and seemingly never losing the ball. Haaland for making something out of every long ball. The way Arsenal press, they do a great job of forcing us to just twat it upfield. But time and time again, Haaland was enough of a nuisance to prevent the ball from immediately coming back at us.

One of those games that makes me think, Pep's autobiography is going to be scintillating.

On Monday Arsenal get an apology from PGMOL for an incorrect decision.

On Tuesday Arteta says he'd rather have the 2 points than an apology.

On Wednesday they get a dodgy as hell penalty.

But still City win. Story of Pep's City career. You can't just be better, you have to be so, so much better, and then better again. He's knows it, we know it. You have to beat the opponent, and beat the officials, and beat the cartel. I look forward to the note of congratulations on Arsenal headed paper.
