I got a message sent to me this morning from Liverpool fan. He clearly watched the entire game as he broke down all Pep's tactics. He was bashing Pep's tactics and said we only won because we have world class players.

Just watched the second half again. Wow - you'd be hard pressed to find a more pro one side, anti the other commentary.
Every challenge, every incident from the Arsensl/opposition point of view. Quite incredible really.

Some truth in all that - He wasn't particularly anti-City but he was incredibly fawning and overstating of Arsenal. At the final whistle, it was all about Arsenal regrouping and coming again. You'd have thought a huge injustice or a smash and grab had happened to the poor souls.

What do you expect though. All neutrals will say the same - it's not because it's City, they're doing that British thing and looking for the underdog to do well. We could be on for 5 titles in 6 years we're the big bad wolf and it's poor little Arsenal.

It's actually a wonderful thing that we're that much of a dominant force that we're making Arsenal look like a plucky underdog......

So the penalty award that was ruled out for offside, weren’t they saying if Akanji had fouled Rashford, then he’d have still been sent off ?

More of the offside is black and white rubbish!
We should clearly have had a penalty in the second half, as there was no offside offence! Not according to this from the FA website, anyway…..
