Arsenal (A) | Post Match Thread

Just back - wow wow wow. Great crowd of Blues tonight - normally packed with tourists in the away end, but I didn't see many - which made for a good atmosphere.

As for KDB - what you don't see before the bottles arrive is that he held up three fingers as he walked past the crying Goooners....legend
Hahahaha......right. didn't have Kev down as a wind up merchant.

What do you expect though. All neutrals will say the same - it's not because it's City, they're doing that British thing and looking for the underdog to do well. We could be on for 5 titles in 6 years we're the big bad wolf and it's poor little Arsenal.

It's actually a wonderful thing that we're that much of a dominant force that we're making Arsenal look like a plucky underdog......
And that right there is why them & the other affected clubs will stop at nothing to bring us down - fucking wankers!

Agreed, but when all was said and done what did Saka actually wind up doing other than converting a PK that had zero to do with him in the lead in? If anything, it allowed us to be level at the half and in the game then shifting tactics which Arsenal had no answer for. If we took a 3-1 at home to Arsenal with our only goal coming on a gift the narrative would be crushing down on us so hard we'd have to move into an underground bomb shelter...Let no one make a mistake, this was a massive, VERY MUCH DESERVED win...any other narrative is nonsense...
Sure, I absolutely get you but would we have done as well second half if Pep hadn't changed it? Not being devils advocate but I just don't know

I'm happy enough with Bernardo at LB against most teams but not the Arse

anyone who went last night see that lad near the front after the match dive over the boarding’s to catch walkers shirt lol

Arsenal are only a plucky underdog when it suits though. 373 days of the year they're a magnificent history club, built on tradition and funded by their own successes, doing everything the right way.

Things started to change for them after the end of the first ‘quarter’ sponsored by Lego-head industries, up till then we where on top and Peps tactics seemed to be working, Ramsdale took his boot off, Arteta had a reshuffle & they started to click, we scored slightly against the run of play, and then we sat back for the remainder of the half, getting to HT level was imperative & they had 10 mins from the goal to have a go, this was a really important phase of the game & our lads stood firm.
Second half so us shut down their overload on our left while they did nothing to protect theirs, and we ran out comfortable winners in the end….it’s almost like Pep encouraged Arteta to match him up first half then side stepped him in the second, I laughed when he said his first half tactics where horrible, he knew he’d set the trap & it worked, the rest of football are thinking wow, Peps human, nah he’s on another planet
You're overthinking it mate. Pep said our first half tactics were horrible, because they were. It's no coincidence that we were at our best and the game was won when we went with a standard 4-3-3 after an hour.
