A change of attitude usually takes a little longer.

I wouldn't be at all surprised to find that Phil is serving an 'unofficial' suspension issued by Pep for his part in the alleged Cancelo debacle.
I noticed and made comment during and after the United game that Cancelo wasn’t passing to Foden during the game when Foden was wide open at least a dozen times.

From obviously knowing sod all about the details, my take from afar is that: Phil may have had a word with Cancelo about this, maybe even an argument, Cancelo’s seen his arse, gone and injured him in training (on purpose?) and there’s been a massive falling out with them kicking off and Phil threatening to fill Cancelo in (or get his Mam on him!).

A rumour I have also heard is that Dias was also involved in an argument/confrontation with Cancelo.

Really good when he came on tonight . All the hard work paying off . Hope he stays focused we need him !

He has had a dip in form which happens to most young players , he has had four/five years of progression beyond our dreams for a local lad , but rumours of his private life and issues unproven are common place in our social media world bubble.
It appears simple , loss of form after an arduous season including a badly timed World Cup , he needs to get his hunger back which he did show in his cameo against the Goons , if we get Phil back to his best assisting and scoring vital goals this league title is in the bag.

Five touches (as per Sofascore) in 13 minutes after he came on. No idea how anyone can judge much from that. Didn't exactly set the world alight and his teammates don't seem to trust him at the moment.

Wish Pep would try him at RW.

Not to take anything from Mahrez — as he’s been a huge contributor the past month — But it’s a bummer that Foden doesn’t get the same treatment Mahrez gets in regards to guaranteed rotations despite form.

One thing I love about the kid is he’s not hanging his head right now, when he very easily could. The past few appearances he’s still had that big smile while watching his team bag goals and secure big wins.

I hope Phil Foden plays tomorrow against Nottingham Forest and gets a start - he deserves it. He deserves to play with Riyad Mahrez and Erling Haaland
What is Guardiola's goal? To disgust Phil Foden from soccer or from Manchester City? He is a great player who is on the bench lately, do you think that is normal?

He has been missing for sometime, playing safe and not trying to take any risk. We need the Old Phil. His talent and abilities cam make the difference in the title race.

sam lee on foden in a Q&A he did:
- part of the "bad faces brigade" (attitude problems)
- he is learning how to add gears to his game which is why he hasnt been as direct
- some games he is told to be more careful on the ball and to bring the ball inside and find others and that doesnt come naturally for him so he second-guesses himself and becomes ineffective

Part of his development to become permanent midfielder in the future.

He's been on the bench because he's been very poor recently. Up to him from here.
