RB Leipzig (A) | Post Match Thread

Another disappointing performance, two shocking referee decisions so the only positive I can take is it was a draw and we play at home next

Pep is too generous and soft on officials in his after match interviews. He should really come out swinging when the injustices of tonight happen. Are you allowed to propel yourself 12 feet into the air now using the defender as leverage. When did they bring that rule in ?.
On first viewing, I thought Dias got outmuscled but on closer inspection, he was used as a Portuguese pommel horse, 1,000 000% a Foul , and the Ref had a great view. Bizzare in the extreme.

I imagine VAR had several great views. Would be great to hear the audio.

No pace No gain. This season is going to bin. Hopefully next season we sell some and get players with pace

We dominate the first half because there manager games plan was to sit back keep it tight , second half sub made more pressing push us back and we didn’t have an answer 1-1 in the end was a good result though!

I thought we played well. Not surprised we suffered in the second half as any team left in the competition at this stage has something in their locker, but we were very 'unlucky' that their goal was given despite the seemingly obvious foul straight out of the volleyball play book.

Should have won, but I don't see anything to stop us steam rolling them at home even with dodgy officiating.

I would love to hear more about VAR's involvement in the handball at full time though. Pep's comment seems marked "I didn't see it so I cannot talk, but I know what happens in these situations."

So do we Pep, and I think even the neutral would have to accept that was another where VAR was asleep at the wheel, or purposely didn't look. We seem to get quite a few of these as a club, don't we! Nothing to do with uefa feeling bitter about CAS ruling in our favour, I am sure.

That handball at the end gave me flashbacks to an old VHS scud movie I hid under my bed involving the East German Volleyball team

I didn't hear the VAR mentioned once in commentary and it was notable how there was no replay of the clear handball until after they went back to the studio. Was there even a VAR on duty?

Morning after the day before

That was a mad day with the blues in Market Square, Absalutely cracking day

My feet are aching after that fucking stupid 35 minutes kept behind & the extra 3 mile walk by the police what a fucking joke

The game was a great experience, dominated the 1st 45 but not getting that 2nd is a big problem for us

They were always going to change in thev2nd half they had 2
Not seen there 1st but 100% that fucking handball right in front of us away fans was just a joke

Carrupt as fuck, obviously he was told by whoever to just blow up, incredible but we can all see now what we have to do to win a game

Some heads went down in that last 45, Walker went from comfortable to awfull, Berny ripped it up in the 1st 45 then not in the game like Rodri
Mahrez never found Haaland once, why the fuck didn't Pep change it up hes a nutter

Unless it was Grealish down the left we wernt going to score
Not a great result but on 2nd half performance I was happy getting out 1-1

Now for 2 trains, 1 flight & 2 more trains, madness but loveved it..
