North Stand Construction Discussion

Not much point in extending the capacity is there if nobody is allowed to park within walking distance of the stadium. Shit bus service, even shitter tram service and the council does this, to an organisation that’s spent millions upon millions improving the locality. As daft as it comes. I hope City are having serious discussions with the mayor and the council; how do the club reckon the tens of thousands of fans who drive to the games at the moment will get to the games in future?

Co-Op's bigger and better. The MEN had their chance, refused to invest in their own facilities.
Agreed, if the Co-Op hadn't got off the ground, the AO would not have changed in another 20 years. They really took the michael with the poor facilities on offer.

Shame as it's in such a good location too.

Disaster ??? What a dick...
Preferred the BMX track. It is just pure greed for people to watch pop music at £80 a ticket, and in a soulless venue. Sorry to upset Harvey Stiles fans and other people who may be emotionally invested for whatever reason.

Yep, it’s rubbish.

They are going to improve but ultimately their customers aren’t the paying public, they’re the big promotions companies like Live Nation.

And Live Nation don’t give a shit about the quality of the bars either - the state of the offer in their own venues is testament to that (O2 Ritz, O2 Apollo).

Joe Public is a captive audience.

The O2 Apollo is criminal. I think they now charge nearly £9 a pint, and it's crap too !

Are we sticking with this thread for the announcement/concepts then? :)

We should. This thread has severed us well. All the previous info for reference, and the snippets are in the thread. And everybody with an interest in the North stand expansion knows where the information will be posted when it’s made public.

"This thread has severed us well"...

So that's why it's been painful to read sometimes...

Viva la spellchecker!

:-)

I understand it’s going to be this Thursday if EVERYTHING has been completely finalised.

What date is MIPIN ?

14th-17th March. Manchester City Council are there, but I would have thought the club would do a separate reveal, possibly beforehand.

Any more info on whether it's 2 or 3 tiered?
