He is perfectly entitled to his view, not sure i like the way he is being lauded though.
According to a friend of mine who has worked with him, hes a deeply unpleasant individual

It's the way of the World. People get entrenched in both sides.

He probably is unpleasant, I don't agree with all the things he tweets, I think he's over paid but I still think it's wrong what the BBC has done - given that they still employ/broadcast people who have tweeted right wing viewpoints.

It gives the viewpoint that if you agree with the Government/Right Wing views then you can keep your job but criticise them and you're fired.
 
It should be recognised that the methods of propaganda used in the 1930’s have been used in recent years to drive a wedge between nationals and ethnic minorities.

The reason the methods and language used back then are being replicated today is because they were proven to be effective.

We should always be allowed to speak out if we feel alarm bells about the messaging being put out out in front of us.

A video was actually released 1947 called ‘Don’t be a sucker’ to teach people how to avoid those who would display such propaganda in future.
