Honestly, more than ever, I am aware how I had a really top class history teacher as our form master. He could have worked anywhere, but left our comfortable grammar school to go teach kids in the inner cities.

I'm suggesting it's easy to have a go from a lofty perch... if you wanna change things, you can take another (maybe less lucrative route) and actually do something positive. Don't take the hundreds of thousands of riyal if you are genuinely concerned about human rights or working conditions. Give me a million-pound grace and favour apartment and elect me president for life and I'll be your leader all the way to you losing your job and me keeping my gold-plated pension, paid for by those that lost the job. I hope he does become an MP, I may vote for him - I don't think for one minute that he would take the pay cut though.
