Palace gave us absolutely zero space to work chances. The were VERY well disciplined in not engaging us util we were in the final third with 11 players behind the ball. It took a defender to have a bit of a brain fart on a set-piece and they gave away the penalty which Big Erl slotted home.

VERY satisfying win.

Fact is though, if Palace played for the whole game like they did after we scored, they'd have had far more chance of picking up at least a point.

Hardly a classic. Palace with zero ambition deserved what they got - fuck all. We lacked creativity and fluidity for much of the game although we did create 3 or 4 good chances. City support was amazing. No standouts today. We weren't at our best but Palace tried to make it a 0-0 from the first whistle and stifle our attacking play.
