There’s some right crackpots in Finland.

Zilliacus said: "Any sport club ultimately should belong to its fans. My bid is built on equality with fans.

View attachment 72920

"The current development, where billionaire sheiks and oligarchs take over clubs and control them as their personal playgrounds is not a healthy trend.

"The current market value of the club is just under $3.9bn (£3.17bn). That means that if every one of the fans of the club would join in buying the club, the total sum per fan would amount to less than $6.

"My group will finance half of the sum needed to take over the club, and will ask the fans, through a new company that is being set up for this specific purpose, to participate for the other half.

"If every fan joins it means less than $3 per fan."

Zilliacus plans to give fans a say through an app from which they can "participate and cast" their vote "when deciding on footballing matters relating to the club".

Can almost picture his first meeting with their fans.
I'm Zilliacus!

Nah, I think Joey was on with his mate about book what they done, milk bottle tops was for guide dogs I think.

The Glazers will just get some more Mecano for the swamp

Sheik Jassim delays as he re-writes his cheques. Said he’s always been an Everton fan really…

I admire the precision of your correct reply. I am the pedants' pedant, and I would have said the same if I'd seen it first.

I've been out-pedanted.
You need to up your game or this will be revoked

He’s not Scandinavian; he’s Finnish.

Hes Nordic though

The two terms are not interchangeable or synonymous.
Let's let ChatGPT adjudicate;

The terms "Nordic" and "Scandinavian" are related to the geographical region of Northern Europe, but they refer to slightly different areas.

The Nordic region includes Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden, as well as the self-governing territories of the Faroe Islands, Greenland, and Åland. The term "Nordic" is often used in a broader sense to refer to the cultural and linguistic connections between these countries.

The term "Scandinavia," on the other hand, refers specifically to the countries of Denmark, Norway, and Sweden. These countries share a common history, culture, and language, and are sometimes referred to as the "Scandinavian Peninsula."

While the terms "Nordic" and "Scandinavian" are sometimes used interchangeably, it is important to note that they have slightly different meanings and implications. In general, "Nordic" is a broader term that includes all of the countries in the Northern European region, while "Scandinavian" refers specifically to the countries of Denmark, Norway, and Sweden that share a common cultural and linguistic heritage.

Both partially correct.

Just read that one of the bidders, the Qatari I think, has upped their bid again to 6bn. Thought the deadline was Wednesday, but then again the fax machine did break again and the bids were all sent to the wrong place anyway....

Loving the circus. Appears to me that none of them could find their own arse with both hands. Heartwarming to think this season is the oddity for them and next season it's back to the fight for sixth.

Why are we getting a daily update on who has bid or made an improved bid?! There is a fee glazers want! Is it 6b? So these 3b bids 3.5b bids they ain’t going to except! Maybe 5b they’d consider or it’s not worth while them selling!

I bid an empty milk carton but they haven't responded to the email yet.
