Great win that Tom boy, lets have some more :-)
Yep, good call.Paris-Nice Tour on at the moment, stage four today. First mountain finish of the season I think it said. Pogacar and one or two other names competing in the Tour.
Just seen the stage 7 highlights on ITV 4. Pogacar's acceleration at the finish was unreal.Yep, good call.
Just watched the highlights; fabulous accelerations from Pogacar today and he looked back to his best didn’t he?
Apparently Saturday is going to be the next big summit finish so looking forward to that one already :-)
Yeah, it’s funny cos everyone seemed to be building up him against Jonas from LJV in this race as the big pre-Tour head to head, but I do wonder if Pogacar has one eye on what Roglic is doing in the Tirreno - Adriatico at the moment - his climbing in the last 3km today was insane, the ramps looked just so so steep!Just seen the stage 7 highlights on ITV 4. Pogacar's acceleration at the finish was unreal.
His move over the top of the Poggio was so powerful wasn’t it? They just couldn’t live with him could they?! And it was some elite top 4 group as well - cycling royalty that first 4Van Der Poel equals his grandad in the Milan-San Remo win
I did 32 miles this afternoon and I'm shagged, never mind 256.7 km!A one day race 256.7km from Genk via Ypres - Wevelgem. Passing many Flanders WWI memorials, on tv at the moment.
I used to be quite a fit 50 something year old woman a few years ago, do a few miles running a week as well as a good 25-30 miles on a bike until I took I’ll with gastritis and the IBS. Now, I’m lucky if I do 7 or 8 miles on a bike and forget about any other fitness regime.I did 32 miles this afternoon and I'm shagged, never mind 256.7 km!
I wouldn't worry about it at all. I'm 61 now and when I look back at my P.B's running and cycling they seem ridiculously quick. It will catch up with these young buggers in a few years!I used to be quite a fit 50 something year old woman a few years ago, do a few miles running a week as well as a good 25-30 miles on a bike until I took I’ll with gastritis and the IBS. I have no idea how they keep going especially when it comes to the hills. I suppose young, fit, conditioned athletes is the key.
Just watched the highlights on Eurosport. Some eye-watering crashes early on. Don't know how they ride those cobbles on a road bike. Another great win for Pogacar, he is a machine, absolutely unstoppable.Pogacar and WVA seem to be having better luck than van der Poel so far.
Be great to see Pidcock try something later on.
Yep, he’s done 3 Monuments now, 2 to go!Just watched the highlights on Eurosport. Some eye-watering crashes early on. Don't know how they ride those cobbles on a road bike. Another great win for Pogacar, he is a machine, absolutely unstoppable.
Yep, Easter Sunday for the rest but Christmas Day for cycling fans. Lots of cat & mouse at the moment to try and get a breakaway - conditions look great for the riders (though as a viewer I’d like some mud!)Paris-Roubaix - women today and Paris-Roubaix - men tomorrow and it starts from 9:30;)
Past. And you’re quite right, he’s something else. He could definitely win MSR and PR.He seems to have thrown the rule book out of the window so wouldn't put anything past/passed (which one?) him.
I hoped to god he is clean, he seems to be on a different planet.
