£7 a pint in Brighton

Brighton revels in its nickname - London by the Sea . A louche resort - home of the Brighton Rock Graham Greene novel with 1930s razor gangs. Later on site of dirty weekends. £7 a pint - not surprised at all - 18 months ago £6 a pint was the norm for London. Best stick to Spoons there or carry out to London parks.

What pisses me off is the amount of bars that sell really strong beers in 1/3 or 2/3 pint measures and charge the equivalent of about £10-£12 per pint

Now that I can remember it was actually Gogartys but yes, that same area.
It was a Saturday afternoon last May and there was some live music on. I get that it's all part of the "experience" but that price was taking the piss! Lol
