Response to Bayern Munich fans banners for next week

Why not a banner that praises City's owner? That's clearly what upsets them the most.
Their banner was classless and ignorant. They really have no idea what Sheikh Mansour has done for the community in Manchester. To lump our owner in with the Glazers is too stupid for words. Coming from a club in the wealthiest region in Europe with the most well-heeled supporters in Germany it was a hypocritical gesture. They have no self-awareness. No wonder fans from all other German clubs despise them. They are the German equivalent of LFC.

Jesus, they've really gotten under the skin of a few on here!
I really couldn't give a toss about their banners. It made themselves look hypocritical and just a bit silly. And they got battered on the pitch.

F**k 'em, don't let it get to you so much.
They made me 'like' a post by Corky which shows how divided the board is over various things at the moment.

All true but it doesn't excuse some of the moronic suggestions on here.

Always makes me laugh that.

How the fuck do Rags, Scousers and Bayern fans know what we feel when we win?

Of course City being successful feels hollow to them, they don’t fucking want us to win and are gutted when we do. All United’s success in the 90s and 00s felt hollow to me… as a City fan!

Idiots!
I love reading the "it's all tainted. They've won nothing in my book" line.

They're fucking dying inside and it's just marvellous.

Sad bastards biggest fraudsters in football
They're at stage 3 I reckon ...

It does just feel hollow though. I had the same feeling when we were getting beat by Newcastle last week, they are technically competing with us but it feels totally artificial. When you pump enough money into a project then the success that follows is inevitable, kinda sucks the fun out of the game.

I watched City beat Bayern and felt nothing. I was just thinking about how much better it would be if all of City's top players were spread around other top European teams like they should be and how much better the competition would be. City, PSG and Chelsea are really killing the game. I honestly wouldn't even feel that excited if United made the final of the CL next season and ended up facing one of those clubs.

City might win the treble, but it'll never match United's with 7 homegrown lads in the squad, beating Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and Newcastle en route to the FA Cup and winning the league on the last day at a time when it was genuinely competitive from top to bottom. It's just sad that nothing like that will happen again. Football has gone from the working man's game to a plaything for the super rich and a cash cow for a few opportunistic leeches. Just read this on red cafe unbelievable.
‘Genuinely competitive from top to bottom’??
They won 5 out of 7 premier leagues (1992-1999) - I’m assuming he’s referring to the ’class of 92’ - and finished 2nd in the 2 others.
They would have won yet another one if it were not for Jack Walker’s money at Blackburn.
‘Genuinely competitive’ my arse.

Easy for me to say as I won’t be going but best to ignore the banners.

Don’t have to justify our club to self entitled hypocrites.

God willing City win and those blues who wish to can waive goodbye to whoever has to roll the banner up and enjoy the rest of the night in a great city.
