Season Tickets - 2023/24

You surprise me, half a lager per game, for shit or glory.
It’s not about how much it is to me. Thankfully, I can afford it.

It’s about the thousands and thousands of people who have fallen away from our match going support over the years because of continual price rises. Manchester has some of the poorest wards in the country, Benchill and Harpurhey are often in the top 5, yet we have core supporters from these areas who just can’t justify the price hikes and people all over the city have just dropped away from our support over the years.

It’s not the price of half a lager per game. They probably couldn’t afford it when it went over what they could afford eight or so years ago but have still being paying through sacrificing other things, but everyone has that point where it just gets too much.

All for the club to earn what they could argue about for five minutes in a transfer discussion with one club and a player and agent.

They’re going to have a new stand to fill soon. They’ll be needing some of these fans so they shouldn’t be so quick to get rid of them now.

Where have I given abuse wtaf?

About 3 times above! WTAf! You can’t find £35 quid a year??! Do 3 and a half hours overtime and the problem is gone! I honestly can’t get my head around getting stressed at £35 over a year and trust me I have been skint in the past and had to graft to make money but seriously just spend the time you are moaning about it to do that 3.5 hours extra work (assuming you are on minimum wage which you must be to be this bothered) and the problem is gone!

Unbelievable, people whinging about £50 but say fook all about the tories ripping the arse out of them with energy prices, sad gits.

My car insurance went up by £70. I switched car insurance provider. My season ticket went up by £40. I switched to……. oh fuck it, I’ve got no choice but to pay it.

There is no alternative but to support City regardless of 11 season ticket price rises in 12 seasons.

Again please point out where I've given abuse? Thank you

SS L3 £385 that started at £300 7 years ago so nearly a 30% increase! Still only £20 a game to see the champions play brilliant football, but the other prices are getting a bit silly now. I wonder if the nee north stand will be cheap?
Unfortunately the parking will be the issue it took me until 1140pm on Wednesday on the bus I only live 7 miles away !

£20 a game!

Feel free to support the rag's, plus they're building a new stadium, win, win.

I really hate the thought of giving the media more to hit us with. They will love it if they can report that the fans have turned agains the club despite its success and fantastic team. The loyalty of fans was the only thing they couldn't use to attack the club with. We're not the rags wearing green and gold scarves and holding up banners against owner - theirs deserve it but ours don't.
We’ve already done it before.

City and Liverpool fans held up a banner across the divide between the fans moaning about ticket prices.

The media didn’t really notice. I couldn't give two fucks what they say about us anyway, I can’t remember reading anything not written by Martin Samuel for about a decade.

No, it won’t be. Ask the 648 GA+ fans in the hospitality section on the first 11 rows on NSL2. And the GA fans in the seats behind them.

I did do - your posts above. Abusive in my opinion or if not abusive a bit twatty. Will happily send you £35 quid if you are that worked up about it and it is causing you enough stress to give it up! Don’t want to see anyway give it up.

The sad truth of the matter is they know people will continue to pay it. We know Soriano couldn’t really give two shits about the fans and their finances in the current climate.

We were not told that it was a downgrade, as far as I'm aware, just a different type of ticket. So we would not expect to have to upgrade to go back to Gold.
My wife changed ours over the phone, and was not told she would not be able to revert back to Gold in the future. Whether it was in the small print is another question?!

At the end of the day, we have our seats for 14 games, there ls no good reason why they can't make those seats ours for the 19 games.

My kids both have silver tickets and I hoped to change them to gold, but the renewal says you can't change them to to full season tickets. Like you say, it's not that big a deal. You get the priority window for the other games anyway, so can buy tickets for all games if you want.

A bit twatty, yeah maybe, I apologise

Mate you have seriously posted that your seat has gone up £35 a year and you have a decision to make and then start spouting abuse? That’s 3.5 hours work over a year on minimum wage? 3.5 hours!!! To witness all this. I am sure you waste £35 a year on some other pleasures.
now now worsley, stop channeling your inner Edwin Curry ;-)

Seriously though it seems most are not that it isn't affordable, but really unecessary, unevenly priced % wise and as shown bad PR for the club.

I probably wouldn’t vote Conservative if they were the only party and we had to vote for them; but I’ve been paying 1p a month for my energy bills over the Winter (only because they have to take money out to keep my account live) because the govt £66/month contribution kept my energy bills in the negative.

I’d topped up from it and was able to withdraw some money into my bank.

Scandalous to increase AGAIN.
Year on year.
The club could've put another two fingers up to the rest of the Prem by freezing the prices. Looking after the fans - great PR.

Dread to think how much matchday tickets will be next season.

The priced out, disaffected, lapsed Blues will remain so, and the club couldn't give two fucks.
