I’m certain you don’t spend £5-7b on a vanity project & after seeing the failures of Chelsea you’d be even more guarded.
Everyone forgets but City cost £210m but we are told it was purely sports washing.
No one’s talking about the motivation of the owners but you’d expect it’s to turn a profit, if that’s the case I’d love to see the business plan but frying pan & fire springs to mind.
