Premier League (midweek) Games 2/3/4 May '23

This Chelsea team looks like 11 hungover 50 year olds who all hate each other and have only been introduced to the game of football 10 minutes before the game started. In that 10 minutes pre game they also decided they hate themselves, round balls, God, the colour blue and the concept of 'putting a bit of effort in', to say they are bad at football is like saying a swift kick in the balls is a mild discomfort.

Chelsea would absolutely be relegated if they didn't have enough points already, they have given up.

Have there been more goals scored in this PL season than any other?! Seem to be so many high scoring games occurring.
It has been a very high scoring, volatility season. Not sure we have seen the most just yet, but I reckon we are getting close.

I had honestly never heard of Noni Madueke, and had to google him. Astounded to see he cost £28.5 million.

On 20 January 2023, Chelsea announced the signing of Madueke on a seven-and-a-half year contract, for an estimated transfer fee of £28.5 million (€33 million).

A manager makes sure players don’t down their tools like this. He’s obviously inspired nothing to them. Other managers would have.
Maybe, but I think when they know it’s a temporary appointment, like Mason and Lampard, then it’s incumbent on the players to show some professional pride.

The owner must take a lot of the blame. Look at it from a player’s pov. You are on the books, maybe a starter, and the club suddenly bloat the squad to 36. Every player now wondering what his future is. Not very motivating.

Txiki deserves an OBE for getting 50m for Raz.

There's falling off a cliff then there's falling off a cliff, hitting another cliff and falling off that as well.

He is awful.

As are the whole Chelsea team by the way.
He may have fell off a cliff but a huge bag of cash broke his fall : )

Accused of wumming.
Didn’t even say we should sell just that there were better players out there that were an upgrade.
His drop off has been extraordinary but circumstances of the club unfortunate. Can’t see his next and final “prime” years being anything but average there.
I got the impression he moved for the pay day and to go back to London than for football reasons so presumably he won’t be concerned.
Just delighted he went.
