Premier League (midweek) Games 2/3/4 May '23

Sterling has been worse, as as well as giving the ball away every time he has got it, has had a hand in all 3 goals conceded.
He just looks like he doesn't care about football anymore. He's lost his love for the game

He could try motivating and disciplining the players, he could not play Raz and Aubameyang? Did you see Chilwell being interviewed looking like Kevin and Perry. Chelsea are miles worse than they were under Potter, and they were appalling then
I appreciate that, all true, but we all know that players at top clubs are cosseted and given far more rope than they deserve. Lampard is on a hiding to nothing with them, and they’re acting like a class of kids with a supply teacher.

Even with this performance I would still sign Kovacic but I wouldn't break the bank.
Kovacic was probably in the MF of the WC, give Klopp this Chelsea middle three, Kovacic- Kante - Fernandez and they would be smashing it; even Pep would do good things with them. I like Lampard, but he's been probably the worst English manager in the history of the PL. Now you can see Potter was not bad at all, just inept YAnks and notorious Chelsea dressing room.

Genuinely didn't expect a result tonight but fuck me they really are relegation fodder

In that case if he had ANY pride (which I thought he did) then he should fuck off

Txiki deserves an OBE for getting 50m for Raz.

There's falling off a cliff then there's falling off a cliff, hitting another cliff and falling off that as well.

He is awful.

As are the whole Chelsea team by the way.
It's shocking just how far he's deteriorated in the space of 9 months or so. And genuinely sad to see it. I know he was infuriating at times during his tenure with us. God, don't I know it. But thinking back to the Centurions and (to a lesser degree) the 18/19 season, he was outstanding for us. Him on one side, Sane on the other and Sergio up the middle; the stuff of wet dreams. But, like Sane, he never reached those levels again on a consistent basis. But even during his last 18 months or so, when he was basically treading water, he was never this shite. Ah well. Someone else's problem now. I genuinely don't bear him any ill will; he decided he wanted to leave (maybe be nearer to home?), and Chelsea must have seemed an attractive opportunity. Big increase (?) in wages, and I guess there's worse places to lay your hat than west London. I guess we've come out of the deal the better.
