We have just won ten league games on the trot , we now need two wins and two draws from our last four games , unless Everton , Brighton and Brentford have metamorphised into prime Barca and Chelsea into Cruyff's Ajax , i think we have a decent chance and would have taken this at the start of the season all day long.
Not forgetting the Goons have to win at a desperate Forest who are fighting for their lives , we win our next two league games and i think that breaks the Goons
I think we would take that every season

Is it a good thing that Everton are winning? Surely it will make them believe they can beat City at Goodison? An already tricky game has become a lot harder.
Or maybe less desperation , knowing their victory at Brighton gives them more breathing space , it will be a tight game , and they are the ones we usually win , quite sure one of players will step up on the day with the goals required.

Even if we do drop points at Everton, which I’m not expecting think one the madrid games are out of the way we won’t have any issues at Chelsea, Brighton or Brentford.

Only concern for me is this game being sandwiched between the Madrid games.

Psychological fatigue could hit us in this game more so than at any other point in the season.

I just think Pep starts the Everton game with a similar line-up as he started against Leeds on Saturday and rotates quite heavily.

Wow Everton 1-5 at least Pep can have had a good look at their likely tactics for Sunday. Not great as they will now have their tails up. Hopefully Brighton will be that lame when we go there! Was hoping Brighton would give Arsenal a tough game. Maybe not! A mad league this! Guess that’s what make it the best in the world.

Everton HAVE morphed into prime Barcelona… Shite!

Honestly don’t think it mattered how this result went. I don’t think he’d have set up any differently even if they’d have got beat.

All counter attack. 22% possession. Brighton are very open. We will take advantage of that when we play them.

Honestly, that result today does worry me.
It gives Everton belief they can frustrate us and hit on the counter. Does that remind anyone of a game earlier this season??
Everton fans might not like that in a home game, but if it works they won't care.
Let's get tomorrow out of the way - still one game at a time

How often do you see it happen a team gets a hiding then next game the pull off a great result and vice Verda a team pulls off a great result then does shite next game

That Everton result there is perfect for us

If we beat get a good result at Real tomorrow it will have exactly the same effect as Everton's victory , we will be bouncing on Sunday if we have one foot in the Champs league final.
Alternatively if we fail tomorrow our players will be even more determined to clinch the league , all about what happens on the day , even a draw at Everton will have the Goons all giddy , so we need to stamp out any optimism in North London

Everton were never getting relegated; they never do.
Had they lost tonight, they would have needed to win 2 from 3 to avoid the drop, which they would have done as they always escape.
As they won tonight they only need one win from 3.
Thus our chances of winning at Goodison have just gone up!!

On a plus point, at least Everton will attack rather than siting back and defending. And City aren’t Brighton.
