Fortunately/Unfortunately we were out of the race for Liga about 10 games ago. However this week we guaranteed 4th place so that's a relief. One more victory (out of 4 games left) and we guarantee 3rd place.

Not entirely true. To match Barca you have to have immense consistency over 38 games and La Liga is not that far behind PL in difficulty. This year Barca should finish with over 90 points.
 
Ofcourse it’s going to be tight. It’s a CL semi fck final. But we are at home. Especially this season in big games we seem unstoppable. And the fans seem more loud than normal. Even if we trail. We’ve seen it before again and again.

Let’s make this a special night. For the full 90plus minutes. The players are up to it. Pep and his staff is. The fans wherever they are will be.

Oh I agree, City have definitely brought it on themselves with the criteria.

Sick to death of seeing a sea of half and half scarves in the home end for every big game.

Don't know whether it's a City Matters issue to bring up but they need banning from the ground.

Worst case scenario 'fans' can buy them after the game as a memento.
 
It is our night, and it would be a shame to leave it to them to enjoy at our expense. We were the better team last year in both games; this year, we were overall the better team in the first leg. If we play to our standards and quality, we can comfortably win. We need to play smart, maintain our mental focus, and play in an organised, offensive manner without wasting the opportunities that will be available to score. At the same time, we have to deal with their counter-attacks through an organised collaborative defensive system.
 
I really think that win at Everton and arsenal losing at home to Brighton has taken a huge amount of pressure off the team. 5 results have to go badly against us to not win the league (after 11 wins in the bounce) so now we can focus just on tonight.

If someone had said 15 years ago that we’d just battered Bayern in a CL quarter final, needed a win at home to Real Madrid to get through to a final against inter Milan I’d have said that someone had lost their mind

La Liga isn't a patch on the premier league. How many teams have won the Spanish top flight since its formation? Compare that to England. Good luck. We've got a huge number of teams spending big money, beating each other every week. La Liga is basically who does better in El Clasico.

You'll be fully rested, you had the weekend off and it's not a factor at all. This is your season and you've prepared for it. We have had two must win games every week for about 4 months now.
