Oh Pep in the interview had said that he will give 2 days off after Brentford to the players. In order to get disconnected, clear their minds etc.
I'm not sure I like this approach, I would have preferred 1 day off but he knows much better I guess :) He said from his experience this approach is better than training, training, training hard all the time.

I guess he trusts the players not to drink or eat garbage these 2 days, I just hope this is true :)
I just wanted 5 days of training before the final but it's ok this probably works too.

Let's hope Brentford game will be with a strong team (Ederson, Walker, Dias, Akanji/Ake, Stones, KDB, Gundogun, Rodri, Silva/Foden/Mahrez, Haaland, Grealish) and at 60' or so to start making the 5 substitutes, and no injuries to come and all players be fit for Wednesday to train hard these 3 days.

I hope players play around at their 80 % or so and not get their feet into fire of course, no need to get in danger of an injury but not to be playing lightly too. It should be in the perfect balance of spending enough energy and get into playing rhythm but not too much to risk anything.

I'm not bothered either way, just don't want him anywhere near the finals. His forms fell off a cliff these last few games. And before all you Mahrez lovers weigh in, he's one of my favourite players, but we can't carry anybody.
Spot on mate!
Not for the faint hearted this one.
Although he could run them ragged for the last 10-15 mins or so!

The problem with Ryad, is that he's either shit hot, or shit. No middle ground. However, he's always a danger from the bench against tired legs, but when he's on a lull then it's a definite no no to start. But he is an exceptional talent,no argument.

This game is not important
I disagree, I think this game is very important for the next 2. We need everyone fit, and in rythm, they've all been rested since madrid, and we have a week each between games now. This is where we (hopefully) get our mojo back, ready for the 2 games that could define our history for a very long time to come.

We've lost our mojo? When did that happen?

We have to go strong on Sunday and play the best 11 from the start, maybe make 3 changes at halftime and then use the other 2 around the 70-minute mark,

Play a strong 11 and get the game won asap, albeit Brentford are a decent side so this won't be an easy game..

Ederson
Walker Dias Akanji Ake (if fit)
Rodri Gundogan Kdb
Foden Haaland Grealish

Make changes in the second half.

It needs to be competitive but not overly physical. Chance of Brentford still have a slim shot at European football so, understanding our position, may go for it.

Would like to see a clean, competitive game where we try to drag them out and hit them on the break as that’s how United and Inter will play. May as well use it as a training game ready for the ones that really count.

Need to get our mojo back for this one
We looked off it a bit on Wednesday
No more parties please
