Inter Milan (N) | Champions League Final | Post Match Thread

Fully deserved for dismantling real and Bayern on route. Never scaled the heights tonight against a stubborn inter but history will surely record this side as the greatest English football team ever. Now to get suitably pissed for the weekend, Relax for a few months and we go again. Enjoy the night blues and a special thought for those who have passed before our coronation.

Congratulations on your win.

Overall the game could have gone either way and luck favoured you a little.
But it decided to favour the team that had the more difficult run to the final, hence why it is a deserved win.

On top of that ... I don't think anyone will say you won against a bad team now.

Everyone must have been surprised to see Inter do so good, and Inzaghi proved to be a quality coach.
He pulled off a tactical masterclass with the players we have, and even your super-team found it difficult to get chances, while we still got some too.
I find satisfaction in thinking if we were able to make you sweat until the last moment, you (the best team in the world right now), then we definitely deserved to be there.

Now enjoy the celebrations!
Inzaghi's tactics certainly stifled City's possession game but Inter didn't look like they had a plan when they got the ball, only after Rodri's goal did they start creating chances from desperate crosses so I wouldn't call it a tactical masterclass but it was definitely a great effort.
Thank you for your congratulations as it must be hard for you right now, good luck next year.

I am beyond elated for this win. I started supporting City when Dzeko joined and now have raised a proper City fan at home who celebrated his 13th birthday today watching City with his mates lift the Champions League trophy. The funniest thing is that I never once wanted Dzeko to do anything in this match. This was all about City!!! History has been made. Best team of all time wins it for the best manager of all time!

Just wow.

I broke down in floods of tears at the final whistle. Thinking about my uncle who first took me to Maine road as a kid in the 90s. He died before he got to see our success.

I often think about him at games but the last time I completely lost all my shit like this and was reduced to a fully grown man sobbing in public was after the QPR game.

What a club.

I’m broken.

Sensational.
