City Victory Parade - 2022/23

I am going to drive down and bring my boy down from Glasgow tomorrow. Any advice on where to park?
Do the park and ride and get the train in from Horwich Parkway (near Bolton Wanderers just off the M61). Free parking and only a few quid on the train. Manchester is a total nightmare for driving these days even without roads shut for the parade. Check the train times though as they are only frequent at peak times. Get off the train at Oxford Road or Deansgate to be near the parade start and finish.

Cheers, still a good few trains to catch later back out of town. Think I Will give that a go.

With the size of the crowd and road closures, you would be better parking up short and jumping on a train. If you are coming down the M6 suggest Warrington West. Only a couple of quid to park.
Park at Irlam station, so come off M6 at Warrington, head east about 3 miles park up at irlam station, only half dozen stops to Oxford road, then a 5 minute walk to the stage area.

Outside the library would make sense as it’s a big open space. I don’t think the map route/ images I’ve seen are that clear (stage area)

They’ve already put the stage up. It’s definitely on the Oxford St. side of the tram tracks, so the crowd will definitely be in front of the library.

I’m thinking about sneaking up to the roof garden in The Midland. Will be an epic view of everything from up there.
