Alexandole Boris de Pfeffel Johnson

The detail is as bad as it can be for him. But it doesn't rule out a return. Boris has a very empty life, he is devoted to the pursuit of power. He is also notoriously lazy and populist politics is perfect for lazy people. So an attempted return seems inevitable.

There is also a trajectory of post truth right wing politics that suits him well. The right wing base are increasingly willing to believe in whatever they want to hear. They love a BSer.

Agree, whilst he is as lazy as, his narcissism won't allow him to let this be the end. I do wonder whether he'll seek to do that within the conservative party or whether he'll try and strike out with his own bunga bunga populist party. There's probably enough bad actors out there who wish to further destabilise the UK that he'll have no trouble getting resources.

He’s always pictured going out or coming back from running but Is a fat fook. Is he running to Greggs? He’s built like Luke Shaw.

watch the videos carefully - he always comes around a corner or from behind a hedge - he staggers a good 50 yards daily - more often than not there is a black Range Rover behind him - thats the car he just got out of the whole thing is a sham

Lib Dems calling for him to be stripped of his ex-pm allowance (up to 115k per annum). That probably won't happen but you have to say that given he will almost certainly use the money in a way that would be detrimental to the country, it should.

Max Hastings just been on pointing out that the real issue isn't really Johnson who has been a scumbag in plain sight his entire life but rather the people who, knowing full well what he was, enabled him because it suited their goals.
It's the same ERG gang that push Cruella to the front as well.

Look at her in front of the HoC Select Committee on You Tube PoliticsJOE to see just how bad she is.
It's embarrassing that she is the Home Secretary, wouldn't have her as the Parish Council secretary.

Listening in to 5Live phone-in, the home of the sycophant, there are still people expressing support for BoJo - "Sunak was there as well" "It was only having a piece of cake". Totally missing the point that the enquiry was not if he went to a party social gathering business meeting or not, it was whether he had lied to Parliament. He said he had been advised blah blah blah, then the advisers said "we didn't advise him". Case closed, take him down.

I don't think he sees himself as a leader of a small time alternative party. I think he's far more likely to keep lobbing grenades at Tory HQ until they let him back in. But either way it's disaster for the tories. They deserve it.

Well said - Thangam Debbonaire going in hard - note she called Johnson a liar with not censure from the Speaker - is that because he has resigned and not an MP? I understood you remain an MP until the by-election in your seat is run

It's quite scary the number of people who don't seem to get that this is not about what happened at parties but about not tolerating a completely broken system where our PM brazenly lies and spouts any old shit to our other eleted representatives. The fact that lots of people seem to accept that situation as priced into the system shows the damage these last few years have done to our creaking democracy.

quite impressive - he was investigated for deliberately misleading the House - after a £250k defence that WE paid for managed to get him found guilty on 5 charges in total. A perfect metaphor for Johnsons entire existence

Max Hasting's tore Boris a new one earlier (even though he claims he doesn't hate him pe se).
I'll see if I can find the video...

I feel that short-term, he’ll be quite happy to lob grenades at the party he feels has betrayed him, especially if he can do damage to sunak.
Long term though, his massive self-regard and conceit will drive him to be front and centre of politics again, and he will get support and financing from those who see him as a chance to front a move to further subvert the country for their own ends. If there is one thing he does well, it’s attracting attention.
He already has friends and fans from various outposts of sanity and various nations who would do us harm.

The number of people who seem to be calling Radio 5 saying "but others broke the rules".

Not the point of the report, of course, but just ill-informed people. The phrase the "Partygate inquiry" shows that.

They’re telling on themselves. I sat like a mug at home while my step father was dying in hospital of heart failure. Anybody who is defending him riding roughshod over these rules as if everybody was doing it makes me fucking sick. If you’re making this argument you are a heartless sociopath and you should seek help.

Resigning in disgrace is too good for this ****. I hope he’s condemned to a future of being called a liar everywhere he goes and at every opportunity from now until the day he dies.

Sorry to hear that, but I agree.

Lowering the bar to "everyone was breaking the law so it was okay" is callous and calculating in the extreme - I bet the majority of people tried to adhere to the rules.
