My straight answer is...
HH Sheikh Mansour is vice president and deputy PM of the UAE, he is also a respected businessman around the world, why would he feel the need to be cheating, on top of that, their culture is one of honour and to be caught cheating would be hugely shameful for him and Khaldoon as well.
The other thing that gets me about 'sports washing' is the things that they decide are or are not 'sports washing' I mean take horse racing for example, the Arab input into UK racing was seen as a huge plus and in fact, a saviour of the whole racing scene but buying Manchester City is most assuredly 'sports washing'.
It is odd that Sky sports goes down this route so much, considering the fact that one of HH Sheikh Mansour's companies partnered up with BSB to form Sky News Arabia
He owns the Abu Dhabi Media Investment Corporation (ADMIC) which partnered with British Sky Broadcasting to establish Sky News Arabia – a new Arabic-language news channel headquartered in Abu Dhabi.
I mean, you are either against Arab business or for it, unlike Sky who seem to want both slices of the cake.
He is also an Honorary Knight Commander of The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire since 2013, so again ok to get a British honour but not okay to buy a sports business in this country.

Mansour is NOT THE deputy PM of UAE. He is one of several, currently three. It is a courtesy title for senior members of The Cabinet which has one rep per emirate. The cabinet, described as the supreme sovereign body of UAE in the constitution, is the body which gives formal approval to legislation passed by the federal gov, but has no executive power. Equals King Charles‘ role as formal approver of laws.

I think you might find that this is a spoof, he seemed to be responding to a rag who’d made up a similar post but with guilty verdicts! I assumed that he was just illustrating that it’s easy to make things up! Howeve, I may have misunderstood.

He's also became Vice President in the last year.
I'm not going to get into any kind of mention of the 'S-word', but, while the Deputy role might be fairly powerless, he has plenty of other roles that aren't simply courtesy roles, and clearly has got a hell of a lot more power than Charlie.

Wouldn’t surprise me one bit. But I still think it’s a plausible outcome.
As noted a couple of posts above, about ten weeks ago, the President of the UAE "with the approval of the UAE Federal Supreme Council, ... [appointed] Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Minister of Presidential Court, as UAE Vice President, alongside His Highness Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai".
The Abu Dhabi newspaper The National says that Mansour will now be working with the President and the other Vice President. I haven't researched what he'll be doing, but on the face of it it seems like a big step up from his previous role.
I always think this kind of thing is overplayed - the World is full of respected businessmen who are up to all sorts of shenanigans. From what I can see, especially those with British honours, who work closely with the Government.
But I do see your overall point - there is far too much made of the City ownership, and I suspect a huge amount of that is simply because this country is full of Liverpool and United fans (because anyone who is over 18 grew up with one or the other as the team to follow if you wanted "your" team to win trophies).
If you click on the post, you can see that he replies to a couple of posts underneath, and the reality is that it's pretty much what we've heard before.

Two years and still potentially going to court, is a lot less dramatic than the original post. Still - I'm guessing he's a member on here, so could always clarify.
