Hunt as Health Secretary vetoed a pandemic plan saying the costs were too much.

He should be fucked for that alone.

The problem is there are about 20 different types of things which could have fucked us up health wise. If we made contingencies for every type of event there would be nothing left to run the Health Service and most of it would have to be periodically thrown away. Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

I didn’t in any post say I did. My point is there are going to be a lot of disappointed voters if they think any Party will make a significant difference to their lives. If you recall when Labour last came to power Blair ran a steady as she goes ship. Starmer will do the same. He knows if he is too radical and caves in to the Lefts demands, it’s one term only.

well if he's being paid the same in total as 1000 employees on £26k a year, yes he is.

I don”t care how much we pay Haaland he’s worth it imo, hopefully he is paying tax in this country because it’s the tax/council tax that provides an equal society. I’m all for capitalism pay the nurses what they are worth they pay tax too

When ever you make a point it’s always good to bring the nurses in to it even if you only know one twice removed.
I don’t think you’re quite aware of how it works with footballers The footballers get a wage and then form a limited company for their “image rights“ and take most of their income through that which is taxed at a far lower rate.
If we are pulling at the heart strings let’s look the great and the good just search how many companies our great ex leader Vincent Kompany is involved with and you will begin to see the point I am making.

If the pandemic had not have happened and they have provided massive amounts to prepare for it I am sure you would be one of the first one on moaning that they were wasting moneythat should have been spent on other things. Like I said hindsight is a wonderful thing

You do, but the problem is those that on the left want others, not themselves of course to pay more for public services. The problem is if you tax the rich until the pips squeak it leaves the age old problem I am not paying over more them I keep.
In the good old days of the 1970’s under a Labour Government the highest rate was 98% and we were well and truly in the shit at the time.
