The Conservative Party

I'd like to see the Greens get a go. However in this FPTP system it will never happen. The two main parties won't vote for PR as that would show a true reflection of the people's political allegiances, and the government would have to act accordingly and not to their donors first.
The problem with the Greens is we are a tiny island. With most of the developing world still increasing their carbon footprint and add China and India we are pissing against the wind. Also at a local level, opposition to the Greater Manchester pollution tax and bus lanes causing more pollution tHan they prevent and they are not for me I am afraid.

The Greens are quite extreme in their policy. Extreme in eco stuff but also pretty far left when you look at the rest of their policy and they have in the past had some quite whacky stuff in their plans, fringe science stuff.

Caroline Lucas has been a great MP but they are not a serious party in terms of forming a government.

If you add Foot and Kinnock on the beach, then the answer has to be yes
You’ve got me …..i admit defeat in view of this observation Youre right- ’Lefties’ can’t do jokes as good as the righties!!
Imagine having the likes of those political philosophers and heavyweight thinkers Coffey, braverman and Dorries on the same front bench without expecting a few sniggers.
Inspired!

I always wonder why we pay politicians to purely avoid any questions on the NHS
and health of our people David Cameron on the stand. He is more concerned with GDP than a pandemic.

Without GDP there is no NHS

No worries mate. The part where you said

“Without a functioning NHS there is no one left to create the wealth”

The US healthcare is something we often deride here, the NHS it certainly is not, and yet they still generate increasing wealth. So we don’t need an NHS to

Without a functioning NHS there is no one left to create the wealth, Cameron admitted “we were not prepared for the pandemic” health must be first before money imo.
I was responding to halfmist in relation to the pandemic enquiry where Cameron kept going on about GDP but Cameron scrapped the recommendation for dealing with a Pandemic.
The next pandemic maybe in 5 years or not for 100 but that‘s why I said the NHS is more important than GDP because we all could be
6feet under if a pandemic takes over.
Remember the line “save the NHS” was a joke not save yourself

You have to admit with that accent, if we are talking good old Colonial days where Britannia ruled the world, he does suit the title Sir.
He once said his great grandchildren will require subtitles in the next century if his accent carries on in to future generations.
The yanks will love him as an after dinner speaker on the American circuit if he gets booted out
My first boss used to talk like him but if anyone ever asked where he was from, he said he was a Scouser.

Did he drop the phlegm based accent to the soapy one with electrocution lessons ? - ie electrodes attached to his balls until he learned to talk "proper"?

Though with that hair she could definitely get a part on a Star Trek remake

His ‘leftie’ definition is anyone to the left of him which includes most of the Tories as well as everyone else.
Nice attempt, but I would say it’s someone capable of standing on their own two feet but wants everyone else but themselves to pay for it

I seem to remember you boasting about making your money by borrowing off family and gambling on the stock market. If that hadn’t paid off would you be classed as a ‘leftie’?

Personally I’ve paid in far more than I’ve got out but I will vote Labour next time and have never voted Conservative.

You haven’t really thought it through have you?
